OK, not exactly terrain, but I'm wanting to do some wide shots soon of my army, but wondering what I should do for the actual backdrop... i.e. trying to mask the walls. I've looked at some of the pictures in WD and they have quite impressive red skies or moon scape type style backdrops. Do they have like a print out that they mount at the back to take photos or are they digitally added? I have some minor experience to modify a digital photo, but rather not spend the time. However I do have access to a company laser printer I could print something out and use ![]() So I guess I'm wondering, which method would be better and has anyone seen some good images to use? Yes, I've tried google images with a few entries, but not really found anything spectacular. |

It's the view of our towns centre after a Saturday Night... ![]() ![]() Actually I got it from goggle a while ago (I have some more somewhere) I download lots of images for my dark RPG Cyberpunk/Horror game. (I use them for Characters/NPC's and new tech or story ideas) I have a burnt out city with tracer fire and such in the background somewhere and I'm annoyed I can't find it or I'd post it for Lextar too... If this is what he is looking for anyway. Oi! wake up Lextar! ![]() |

Hehe... sorry. Yeah, that's what I'm looking for, but probably need it in a much higher resolution. I've searched on google, but got very bog standard scenic stuff. Wouldn't mind things like a boiling lava background or a blood bathed sky sorta thing. I think I'm going to digitally add the background... just means spending more time and delaying the launch of my pictures. |

When you search for images you can choose the ADVANCED SEARCH function and choose only high resolution images to look for. That's what I did for Raiders and it came out fairly decent. Certainly good enough for the smaller pictures in the book (take a look at some of the shots in the pdf and you'll see them). Of course I lack any fancy software so I did it all in Microsoft paint. I cut-pasted very carefully and then went over the whole cut line literally pixel by pixel. |

i have some experience with photoshop and i could help out except that you'd have to take the picture against, say, a very white sheet and make as little shadows on the sheet as possible. I'd be willing to at least look at it and i i think i can do it i will. free of charge. |

Thanks for the offer hotwire. I was hoping to avoid spending the time to digitally enhance the photo. I have the skill, just hate wasting the time. Unfortunately I've rejoined playing worrld of warcraft ![]() |
