Well, seeing all the fortifications people have been putting together has encouraged me to get back to mine!  Cast and primed some more pieces for a huge set of entrenchments and bunkers!

Each of the "long" pieces is 10cm, so it's around 250cm, not including the bunkers and gun emplacements.  I parked a Leman Russ in one emplacement to give some scale.

Now, on to detailing them!  *laugh*

Yeps, I chose Chroma's excellent work as starting point for my own styrene education.

Speaking of which, what material did you use for your 'rough' portion of the defense line?

Do you mean the enemy-facing slope?  The base substance is drywall filler putty, shaped into a slope for the masters.  After casting, I texture it with sand/ballast/flock, depending on how I want it to look.

I've got a "desert" sample piece someplace, with no flock at all, just the "putty" painted and shaded, I'll have to snap a shot and post it.

Thanks for the info.

How about your rivet-looking things? I used little tiny styrene rivets from Grandt Line Augmentables.
