Well the ideas continue to flow out at the shed, so yesterday while Glynn was busy cutting out the check plate for the command bunker I started on something else. I recently picked up a Forge world Tank Emplacement and it got us out at the shed thinking that we could make these ourselves and add them to our list of Epic terrain that we offer to the community. At the moment it looks like we are filling the void left by Forge Worlds exit from making Epic defences, and we offer it at a much more reasonable price. Ok so we are in the process of making three different types of tank emplacements. Ranging from a well prepared position to a roughly constructed emplacement. To the first one, this being the well prepared position. ![]() ![]() ![]() With some vehicles for scale. ![]() ![]() ![]() So we will be adding more detail over the next couple of days and hopefully Glynn will add some picks today of the other two emplacements that where started yesterday. Thanks for looking in advance Aaron |

Don't worry O-man. You can be the North American producer of tank emplacements. |

G'day folks, Got some pics taken of the tank positions that I finished today. First is the bare base of the rough and ready tank stand. ![]() Doing the clay on the well prepared position. ![]() All the clay on that piece. ![]() Finished that one. ![]() From the back. ![]() The finished rough and ready tank stand. ![]() From the back. ![]() The third piece, which is a stand alone tank position, which will later be used as part of a modular berm system. ![]() Just finishing off the clay I had out, some shell craters. ![]() The three defensive positions all just need some sandbags now and will then be moulded, and go into production. Thanks for checking them out. |

Been a while since we have posted any progress in here, so here are some pics of what they turned out like. ![]() ![]() ![]() For those of you who are keen, we have started work on an online store, and hope to make some good headway there in the very near future. If you like what you see you can PM either myself of Procopious to fine out more and place orders. Cheers Aaron |

cal, have you tried using an old artists brush to make texture in the clay? it works like a charm and is so quick. nice work. are you using a low preassure cabinet when you cast? if so, how did you make it? |

Mate talk to Procopious, he is the caster, I am merely the ideas and modeling skills associated with the master caster. Cheers Aaron |

@ widgren No mate, I haven't tried that yet. I will give it a stab next pieces I do for Epic. @ Warhead & Olly I am trying to work out the online webstore, but I am a dopey **** and a bit slow on technical thingies like computers. ![]() At present I'm a bit broke myself and just making masters of river sections. They will come in 4 widths, 25mm, 40mm, 75mm and 100mm. If you're interested in why the 2nd one is 40mm, not in keeping with the sequence, the reason is that 50mm just didn't look right. Maybe later. I envisage about 30+ different pieces including the normal straights and bends, as well as joiner pieces ( 25mm -> 40mm, 40mm -> 75mm, etc ) and confluences ( 25mm + 40mm -> 75mm, 40mm + 75mm -> 100mm ) and fords and bridges which will join with my existing road sections. Also have done one hill out of 5 planned hills. Pictures will follow of the first one when painted and flocked. Cheers, Glynn |
