Ok, after cracking it at cutting up plasticard and basing on it and then adding detail, and seeing the amazing work Mark Logue did on my Eldar army bases I decided to make my own bases for vehicles. So far I have made six different types of bases siutable for a range of vehicles. Tha large bases are 30mm x 35mm and the small are 20mm x 30mm. There are currently three types for each size. So to the piccies. Small Base 1 ![]() and again ![]() Small Base 2 ![]() Small Base 3 ![]() Large bases on the next post. Cheers Aaron |

I have to get onto this resin production business! With the amount of washers and sellys knead it I go through basing things its probably heaps cheaper than the way I am doing things now as well (especially because I tend to kill a lot of drill bits pinning things into set knead-it). Is there somewhere online where I can order all the stuff you need? |

Mark, Glynn will be able to tell you where to get evrything, although if you are just making bases for armies, just tell us what you are after and we can make up some prototypes and if you like them we can cast them up for you. once we have a mould the sky is the limit. And it is a very low cost things to do bases. Cheers Aaron |

I would like to know how to do it as I have some ideas for a big terrain board in the future that would require lots of parts that would best be replicated to save on effort (will be doing a big fortified base). Possibly at the moment I would be keen on making up some round bases for Eldar with a strong cityfight theme that could be cast up as a set. I also want to make some round infantry bases to put epic miniatures on. My Saim Hann are all going to be on round bases. I have assembled a bunch of titans for them so far but it would be great to have resin bases as I found the way I was doing them wasn't very economical and its hard to drill the holes out to pin things into them as the milliput and sand texturing wrecks drill bits very quickly. I could send you up a bunch of prototypes when I send you those last few tanks. |
