For the past week or so I've been busy moving to a new flat (yet again :p). This means lots of going through old junk and throwing away stuff that I know I'll never use again. Yet sometimes it happens that this effort reverses itself: When throwing out a box of old magazines I noticed something among the garbage in the dumpster that I just had to pick up and add to my bitz box: an almost intact piece of industrial railway terrain! It appears to be some kind of silo. The scale is wrong (I'm guessing 10-15mm scale) but with a bit of work I figure it might be turned into some interesting Epic Terrain. Perhaps some kind of smelting plant (I'm thinking a 40k version of the Genonosian factory from Star Wars II Attack of the Clones),

PS: I still haven't checked if all epic stuff survived the move intact. Keep those fingers crossed... :p

Nice find. I think you're right that with a bit of work it could be made to fit Epic.

Sweet!  Never had a find like that!  Hope all your Epic stuff survived the move.  I always have serious paranoia when moving, so many bits always get lost and mixed up, it always takes me ages to sort out.

Once a winner, always a bl**dy winner it seems  :D
Hopefully you're equally so when you unpack, always a hazardous business

Brings to mind that scene from Monty Python's Life of Brian:

"You lucky, lucky b*****d!"

:D

That should be a great terrain piece when it's finished, nice find WMN!

i just moved 4 months ago my solution on damage epic minis is a custom made MDF trunk on wheels and pated with baby washer foam the principle is the same principle behind set boxes for font types you will see in a old printing firms stabled on top on each other in the MDF trunk unfortunately it ways a lot and i men a lot around 35 Kg with out minis but its dam safe place for my minis

i love the grain silos and the grain elevator when i first saw them around 50 ways of use sprang to mind in my little mind and i am already on the look for them at my locale model train sails
