I always enjoy seeing the terrain layouts other Epicomm members battle over. ?So I thought I would post some pics of our most recent battlefield.

An accompanying battle report would have been nice but I didn't think about taking pics until after we were done. ?The battle was on a Chaos controlled world, the Phantoms Space Marines (DIY Chapter) vs a Black Legion Warband. ?Instead of the Tournament Scenario, we borrowed a page from Apocalypse and each placed 3 objectives, one in the opponent?s deployment zone, one on our table half and one on opponents table half. ?Whoever controlled the most objectives at the end of turn 3 or 4 would be the winner.

The Chaos powers smiled on the Black Legion and granted them victory in the end.

And finally here are the pics of the battlefield.

Great looking board, always nice to see other people stuff.  Gives me inspiration to get off my butt and get something done.

The pine trees I picked up at a surplus store a while back.  Got around 80 of them for a couple bucks. I think they were probably cake decorations but they work pretty good.

Nothing like excellent terrain to get you in the mood for war.

Great work M4jumbo!

Great looking terrain !  Really nice board !  Is that temple from JR Minis ?  I have a ruined version, like that. :)

The temple building is something else I picked up at a surplus store.  It's about 7" x 6" x 5" high, roof comes off with "storage" inside.  Who knows what it was actually for but it makes a cool terrain piece.

Nice find on the surplus store building. Works really well for the 40K imperial architecture type style.
