What I hate about scenary pieces and stuff is that it takes up space where the stands can be displayed instead. So I always try and create a piece that allows me not to waste too much space.

Anyway, with this HQ I'm trying to build, I'm after a room that I can use to display pieces as well. As this is a SM HQ, I guess it needs to be a bit functional too.

Any ideas?

I think D/S is pretty much on target !  Been in a number of HQs ... Maps and commo equipt. ... are the norm.

hmm... think I didn't make what I wanted clear. Although not sure how a map room would look like.

I have a multi-level mountain side with tunnels and caverns where my Tyranids are displayed in force.

I'm wanting something similiar for my SM. But I need rooms to place several company of marines without them looking out of place.

The things I've come up with so far is a staging area and briefing hall. Just wondering if there are any other ideas.

I like the bar idea... but I don't see a company (or even a squad) standing in formation at a bar  :D
