I guess this will prove my supremacy at choosing thread titles which have little or nothing to do with the subject within.

Anyways:

My good old Boyz are a helpful lot, and when I noticed something weird's grown up in the old garden some of the ladz decided to lend a helping hand and gunwagon and do a bit of weeding.

They did find themselves a wee bit in too deep....  :(  :alien:

What to do? The boyz didn't give up without a good scrap, but after consuming all their ammo and the blades of the wagon choppa, they sent the grots back home to consult the bosses.
Once they saw the size of the thing, the bosses went  their separate ways to prepare for action: Nazdakka* calculating how much he could sell the spines for, Gudorkian** hunting for his Trash da Burg military manual and BluFunda*** bullying his blue paint-making grots into action.

After all, gardening can't be too difficult for a race who have ALL got green fingers, can it?  :alien:  :alien:  :alien:  :p

The pesticides, as requested, sir.   :alien:  :)  :p

The Moonz, motivated by the thought of Teef, are there in full strength, the Deathskull paintbrew is taking too long to make and only a singularly un-blue megagargant made it to the party; the Deathskulls are still comin' up wif a strategy  :p

Incidentally, the FW Nid spore chimnye took me over 2 years to complete, what with other projects, work, etc....  :(

That thing is huge!   A little bigger and it could have been it's own table!

Really nice details on that thing.  It looks great!

Thanks guys - the detail on the FW beastie makes it an easy job to paint well. It IS big, standing about 20cm tall with a base just around 21cm wide in perpendicular directions.
Justiniel, I would send you some seeds but the run away as soon as they appear, and scurry off to join something called a hive fleet....

Hmmm, runny seeds, I don't suppose you could try for a cutting off that 'hive' thing?

Eh? ???  Care to take back that comment about superglue you made in my Fortress thread on Sunday, V? :;): :p

Nice Spore Chimneys - you've made me want to get some now - even if the pics are a little... eccentric :confuse:

Ow my nose hairs!
Ah well, that's got it off.
Er, yes :)

Those FW models are grand, and painting them is a treat. I guess it should be obvious this is the 40K version - and even in 28mm scale, it's huge. In Epic scale I could see it releasing flight upon flight of flying niddie beasts :)

Very Nice Work !!! And gardening, "V" !!  I too have some Armorcast (not F/W) alien spores, plants, etc. (SIB) ... even though they were designed for larger scales, they still work fine with 6mm SF !  I mean, they are alien afterall !  :alien:
