I put these buildings together over the weekend for my Epic board. They're made using the Conflix Chemical Plant Construction Set (I bought from a local hobby store) and a cable tie to represent stairs.

I haven't even used a quarter of the set (lots more bits to play with). It is totally flexible (no real instructions) and seems to fit in with an Imperial industrial facility quite well.

Its painted using the Woodland Scenics Pigments (Burnt umber for rust and Black for detail).

Not sure where you are, but they are produced by IMEX in the states.  Neil has them:

Edit: Forgot to comment  :p.  Those look awesome Onyx, more WS pigments again?  How did you do these?

For those in the UK, check out Urban Mammoth. Not sure which is the original and which is the repackaged/cloned version. But they are nice sets that go together well. No connection yadda yadda satisfied customer yadda yadda.

ps. Consider the idea of using cable ties for stairways stolen! Cunning.....

Nice job.  A cable tie.... I have been trying to think of an easy 6mm staircase for years.  Brilliant.

Thanks all.

I wish I could claim the cable tie idea was mine but it was given to me a few months ago by Mark_Logue (good onya Mark).

"Forgot to comment  .  Those look awesome Onyx, more WS pigments again?  How did you do these?"

After putting the bits and pieces together I gave them a wash with the W.S. Burnt Umber then a wash with Black (with a drop of dishwashing liquid in the black). Let it dry and give it a spray with Matte Estapol furniture varnish. Done.
