Cheers Nitpick. It cost around £7000 in total, but you can get them much cheaper. Gotta get the extraction system etc too. |

That's pretty cool TC. Good roads is something we don't see to much of at events so would be interesting to see how they come out in 6mm. I presume you wouldn't do the interior modules for the building on a 6mm variant though...? Cheers Reedar |

Yeah, only thing I'm struggling with is finding the right material to make the road itself out of. At 15mm the kerb height is 2mm, which is fine. At 6mm scale that's the equivalent of about 1.5 feet, so need to have a material to lay on top of the bottom layer to add the correct height. I've been using some stiff packaging card, but not sure about how it will paint up/take glue. The city raiser blocks need a bit of rethinking for 6mm. I hadn't considered doing the internal space on them, but there's no reason not to, in fact I could make it tie in with the 6mm zone mortalis stuff too... Could make for an interesting battle to have an objective on the inside of one. |

I've almost finished my first full terrain project using the laser cutter. Wrong scale though I know! This is all 15mm. I've enjoyed making the terrain in this scale as it doesn't need to be as detailed as 28mm stuff but also isn't as fiddly as 6mm stuff (much harder to create convincing steps etc). Reached image limit. Attachment: Here's an example of stacking the raiser blocks and bridge to give them more height: Attachment: And some examples of the underground bunker layout on its own: Attachment: Attachment: Attachment:

What happens when you engrave plasticard with a laser? Comes in a wide variety of thicknesses from fractions of a mm up. |

Kyrt wrote: What happens when you engrave plasticard with a laser? Comes in a wide variety of thicknesses from fractions of a mm up. Styrene doesn't work well in a laser engraver. The laser melts the plastic, instead of cleanly cutting or engraving it, and doesn't vaporize it, meaning the pool of melted styrene re-solidifies after the laser beam has passed. |

Jesus that is sweet. I would love to play some "Force on Force" on that set up. |
