the flat sections will be easy to hump. the Acropolis sections will be a total bitch. each one will have to go in its own box. traveling and set up will be EPIC

The intermittent search for an affordable, portable and attractive urban feel road system goes on. Has anyone tried GameCraft?

They seem nice, but I am hesitant to buy bulky stuff from the US due to the heavy freight cost...

Nice work Hena. Since I use a Zuzzy mat, I am more interested in roads than tiles.

Thanks psypher. I remember seeing these now. Have you got any pictures of them in context (e.g. with epic minis, vehicles and buildings of various shapes and makes)? I could not see anything in your shop...

Hi, the only photos are the ones on that thread. The shop hasn't been updated as a new website in under construction (when I get a spare hour). Although they were never on the shop as I had the road tiles on the drawing board. I can take a few photos at the weekend with various minis and buildings if you want?

Take your time! Appreciate the offer, but I am in no hurry. I'll have a look when you got the new shop up and running

I have started making some roads today. Simply using plasticard and grey texture spray. They are taking forever to dry- the spray says 6+ hours, but they are still sticky after almost 7! I will vanish them next week and then paint on some ground markings but they are super simple and have cost about £1-£2 for 5 20cm long roads. They take about ten minutes to make a batch. They are not detailed at all but I'm hoping with white road markings they should be more than sufficient and looking pretty awesome.

I'd like some more detailed parts later down the road, but trying to do a whole city board I want cheap, as I can add more stuff to them at a later date.

+psypher+, nice to hear you will be opening a new website. I have boxes of your stuff still to paint up, But it was always great to see what will be coming out next!

Cheers mate, appreciated :) Not to hi-jack this thread, but keep your eyes out for some new updates over the weekend! Then I'm hoping to get to sit down over the following week and get some stuff done to the new website that I've had to put off for now.

I ended up printing out some Hawk Wargames roads and gluing them to cardboard. Works out pretty well, though there can be some slight warping if you aren't careful. Gluing to pasticard would probably work better and give them a little more sturdiness and weight. It's a cheap and nice looking solution, and you can always scale them down to fit your preference.

They will be done as soon as I can get out side and spray them because the texture spray doesn't stick very well. Its very sticky and can be easily rubbed off with fingers. It looks great but It needs sealing. Prey for some dry weather this weekend and I can get them done! ;D
