I think that it's better to sell clean buildings and the buyers can dent, ruin etc them as they want. Making ruined, dented etc buildings whole is harder

Totally agree - far easier to drill into a clean building than patch up a damaged one.

Funny. Compared with most offers of Grimdark 6mm buildings available I think these have quite a lot of detail?

One of the upsides to the 3D printing process is that the shape doesn't matter, only the volume of the finished part. A detailed building costs no more to print than a simple one, it just takes a bit longer to design. There is a chance that the molds won't last quite as long, but I'm getting a really good deal on the actual moldmaking so it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

I had mocked up a couple of designs that looked a bit more worn, but came to the same conclusion - the resin is quite easy to cut or carve so it made more sense to provide 'clean' buildings and allow the end user to customize to their own taste.

I've included a new preview of something I've just finished - this landing pad will likely be a stretch goal that I can add to pledges if the campaign does really well. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Should I repost more of the blog content (renders, etc) here for easier access?

+EDIT: Realized that I hadn't provided a scale for the size of the pad. The flat 'landing surface' is 50mm (2") in diameter

Nice one! Could be elaborated and detailed, but I like it!

Very nicely done ... BUT ... another company/designer doing faux GW Gothic stuff ... Sorry I feel this way. But it looks to me like this is the third company in the past 6 months or so that did Gothic. What about alien structures ? :eh :( :'(

I think that these are more detailed and 'gothic' . I could see these for sale in stores etc. While others are fantastic but not at this level.

Fair point, Legion 4. So far, the multipart wall-and-corner method I'm using has restricted me to more conventional box style buildings, and the Gothic style seemed like the most logical starting point. In the future I'd love to do something more exotic, but this is by far the most complex project I've yet attempted so I figured I should start at the shallow end of the pool.

I'll try a few experiments and see if I can come up with something a bit more unusual using my current methods - no guarantees that it will fit into the Kickstarter but it's a good starting point for future designs.

Thanks!

Organic shapes are a lot harder to do I presume ( in 3D sculpting?). Box style fits many of our armies, but it would be nice to see something different :)

Hi!

Some alien structures would be cool. I understand however that from a sales perspective "gothic" may be more profitable.

Sounds reasonable ...
