It looks cool as crap and seems expensive as hell. I totally want them :)

$45 for a 4'x6' customizable city street layout along with the buildings to go on it seems expensive to you?

No talking about these which run from 33-102 GBP

I've see them. These resin buildings are the better buildings I've ever seen. But... more expensive.

My excitement is growing for the Games and Gears boards. Got an update that ey are expecting to send them out at the end of April, or early May.... The weeks can't fly by quickly enough!

City boards are not something that's particularly caught my attention until I saw this! That looks really great - obviously all of the nice buildings help a lot.

Damn you - that's something else I'm going to have to add to the terrain/hobby/ski (spending kids' inheritance) list...

Ouch Alf O'Mega! You don't have to swap the legacy of the house family name for these buildings. I think that even with the set of card space marine / titan legion buildings the result is equivalent. However, I'm among those who believe that the battlefield is very important, absolutely essential. It should be up to the quality of the miniatures that come to life in it.

This card board set is a standard 180x120cm table, but I've extended my table to 260x120, so I've added the 2nd level ground and other tricks to give a uniform layout to the battlefield.

Is there any way to order the ground tiles separately from the buildings?

And does anyone have a link to the Games and Gears boards?

The KS is closed now but as I understand it, these are going to be made available for general purchase in the future

Yes, they said they are going to sell them after the Kickstarter boards have been sent out. However, they said that about the boards from the first Kickstarter and I haven't seen them for sale since. I quite fancy getting my hands on a cracked earth set of boards but will definitely wait to see what the quality of the DZC boards are first. I'm sure I won't be the only one who posts pics of these once they turn up!

The first KS didn't fund so those boards aren't being produced (I think).

I pledged for the DZC ones, and can't wait for them to show, but it kinda sucks. G&G seem like they are kinda dancing around the ideal product. Their first KS I didn't bother with because they were just 1'x1' flat boards with assorted generic textures. Nice enough but not difficult to make yourself. The second KS, the one that got funded, they made all sorts of interesting boards, roads in multiple genres and sizes, high tech panels, hellscapes. But they increased the size to 2'x2' boards. I so would have liked to get the designs for the 2nd KS in 1'x1' squares instead, but instead they fixed one problem and made another one.

funnily enough, I would have pledged in their 2nd kickstarter if they'd had a more generic cobblestone texture again. I didn't on the first, because it was more expensive and I'd prefer 2x2 boards, and didn't pledge on the second, because none of the patterns were sufficiently useful for my needs (I think the DZC layout is not nearly as modular as it should have been because of the double street tiles)

those DZC cardboard packs are pretty great though. I picked one up from the second hand stall at cancon this year, and hadn't really looked at it till I saw these photos, but now that I have, I think it's very nice. I would consider buying a second for the buildings. If I do, XM, I'd probably be willing to sell you my excess ground tiles.

Ah, I hadn't realised that they failed to fund the first KS, that would explain it.

I can't wait to see how the boards look with my collection of Battlescene Designs buildings set out on them! Like I say, roll on May! ;D
