The roads are from the now-defunct S6 engineering, aren't they?

The roads and matching cities plates looks like their the S6 ones. Unfortunately out of business.

I think all the buildings are Gamecraft? Even the dark ones too? They look great and the guys seems to be nice. IIRC he said if there were things we wanted, to say something and he might be able to do it. So if there a increase in his regular sales and then some more request for similar pieces it might happen? Plus I do like the look of his roads too!

On the WFB set how much usable Epic does it come with? And would it be easy to sell the rest of the kit or would major pieces be missing that were "Epicized"??

EDIT: Should read the second page before responding! LOL

Shorter buildings
Quote:
however i cant recall i have seen the lesser buildings anywhere before. But they look nice, can you tell where they are from?

They're from a tiny little company called Proxie Models, and are sold as 15mm. I think the scale works, and at $4 (£2.50 in proper money ;)), they're absolutely fantastic value.

The plastic's pretty similar to GW's basing plastic, and the detail is very basic; with little more than the buttresses and windows. That said, I'm very pleased with what you get for the price, and the addition of some floors/roofs makes them look convincing.

For the record, Proxie Models do post to the UK (these models are proof!) :D

Right on the money. Shame he's packed up, but I vaguely seem to remember E&C mentioning someone that could do the same stuff..?

I've asked for sloping/pointed/domed roofs to add to these buildings, as I think that's a vital part of gothic architecture, but haven't heard back from him.

I'd love to get some ideas together from the community here and go back to him with some ideas for expanding the range.

It's really just the three tombs/buildings here that are obviously useful. Other than these, it comes with bases for the main tombs (bit too much scale detail), a long decorative fence and a statue of Morr. The statue would work nicely, as it's just a robed skeleton with a sword and shield; and I imagine the bases and fence would sell decently. I gave mine to a friend for his Warmachine table.

I'm currently working on it. I did talk to E&C about doing it but he no longer has access to the equipment. There's a local games company that I've been told could help.

I am totally interested in further development of this idea. Keep me in the loop and I will be able to throw gold coins it.

Road requests
Here's what I'd be particularly interested in:
* Roads that have the S6 styling.
* Varied angles – 45 and 33 degree corners and junctions would be great for avoiding that horrible 'everything is perpendicular in the future' effect; and allow roads to naturally exit the board.
* Longer sections – up to a foot or so would be great.

Perpendicular is fine - I've been to Milton Keynes and played SimCity.

With the risk of sounding silly :)

what do people like about those roads?

They just look like flat(ish) pieces of plastic with square corners.

There are alot of different roads available that i think look alot more realistic than what i see in the pics.

Just wonderin' :)

There's nowt particularly special about them – but I think they've got that nice feeling of an STC design: cheap and dirty, with rugged functionality over comfort or aesthetic. The reason I bought into them is that I dislike raised roads, so having the city 'plates' pretty much sorted that for me :)

That said, the reason I'm keen for stuff that has their style is now more for compatibility than anything else. I've got the S6 stuff, and I don't want a load of roads that are slightly broader/thinner, or don't fit in for some other reason.
