The Blastscape craters are ok. I particularly like the crashed spaceship parts because they have the right size for Epic (and look too small for Wh40k).
Yes the datail is rubbish compared to the pictures on GWs homepage but the quality is quite the same as the Moonscape craters which are also very ok.

Ironically the crashed spaceship actually uses Imperator Titan tower pieces for the engine exhausts :D Funny since the exact same bits were used for escape pod exhausts on some crashed spaceship scenery features in WE in the late 90ies (nice article too). Funny how GW aren't afraid to reuse old ideas... the term old wine on new botles springs to mind. I wonder if we see a new deodorant grav tank released some day :p

Someone at Dakka has taken the time to paint these and post a blog about them.  So if you want to see what they really look like, look here...

Blastscapes and Craters

Then follow the links he provides.  Gotta say, a couple of the pieces look pretty cool.  Amazing what a coat of paint can do to something.

Well, the deodorant tank featured in the Horus Heresy card game. I bought the "Collected Visions" book some time ago and had a nice moment of nostalgia when I spotted it.

Looking at the endless variant SHTs at WHW I also noticed the plasma weapon on one of them appears to be the plasma weapon from the imperator

Yeah. The FW LEman Russ Executioner is basically a Russ with a Plasma Annihilator stuck on :D A perfect example of KISS

I think in the planetary empires box has an awesome looking crater that should fit in for epic if you cut out the hex. The hex is about 2.5 inches across

True, though that has been ret-conned as an altered copy of the original design which they made later as part of their Mars Alpha range:

I use these Plano boxes for my terrain currently (more can be read here)

As for larger items I am about to make, such as forests and craters and "pre-built ruins on stands", I'll be modifying my 28mm storage for these.

Basically, I plan on all these cases fitting into a large 20-30gallon storage bin.  One of the smaller cases will be for larger template-style terrain (see the last pic in this post).

This is how I store ponds/forest bases at home: Basically I cut out cardboard and made slots for each item to fit in.  In this drawer it is more free-fitting, but in the mobile Epic storage the cardboard will be hotglued in with a felt or other cloth bottom.

Here is the 15 Quart/14 Liter box in a size I plan to use for the forests...
