Hey:

I think I'm familiar with all the background material.  Someone on the playtest boards asked if there were any sources with more detail.  I checked the netepic, because I figured if there was ever any published game material it would be there.

Am I safe in saying GW has never put any stats out?

That is correct. The PSI titans of Divisio Telepathica have been mentinoned in the original Adeptus Titanicus rulebook, but no rules ever came out. They were supposed to be in Codex Titanicus II which was never published.  :(

The Mars is rumoured to be home for two "secret" Titan Legions (Source: Imperial Armour vol. I) so one of them could well be a PSI legion.

Thanks for the compliment.  :)  However, the rules are still unfinished as I have yet to find stats for the three head cannons the PSI titan has. But here's what I have made so far, fluff and all. the rules are, of course, for Net Epic.

Draft Fluff:

PSI titans of the Divisio telepathica are very rare machines as they require the most arcane technologies to build. Some rumor that the secterts of their construction are only known to few of the highest ranking magi at Mars and, indeed, Mars ir rumoured to be the home of at least two secret Titan Legions.

All Divisio Telepathica titan commanders are psykers of at least Epsilon+ class as only they are able to use the titan's abilities to the full  potential. This further reduces the numbers of Divisio Telepathica as the amount of potential recruits is few and not nearly all of them are strong enough to be recruited.

The Workings of a PSI titan include a psychic amplifier and distortion field as well as a battery of Psycannons. Its most feared weapon, however, is the Warp Cannon which draws power from warp via a warp coil to unleash a terrible psychic shockwave which shreds the minds of unprotected troops. The Warp Cannon takes up both of the Warlord's carapace mounts. The Psycannons are mounted on the head and the arm hardpionts can be fitted with any normal titan weapons, although many commanders choose to mount a close combat weapon and some long-range ordnance.

Draft Special Rules:
A PSI titan is based on a Warlord titan hull. Both of the carapace hardpoints are taken up by the Warp Cannon but the arm hardpoints can have any weapons allowed.

Psychic save: PSI titan has a psychic save of 3+.

Psychic CC attacks: the psychic amplifier allows the princeps to enhance his powers so all the Close Combat attacks the titan makes are considered psychic attacks, like those of the Grey Knights and Eldar Warlock Titans.

Warp Cannon:
range: 100cm
attack dice: template
to-hit: 4+
special rules: Place the teardrop (flame) template anywhere within range and firing arc so that the narrow end points directly towards the PSI titan. Any troops (friend or foe) even partially under the template are hit by the psychic shockwave on 4+ regardless of cover and must save with a -1 save modifier. Titans and praetorians without shields use the saving throw of the head/bridge and roll on the corresponding damage table if the save is failed; no scatter dice are used. Daemons and chaos titans under the template suffer a -2 modifier to their saving throw and daemons may not use chaos cards to negate hits. The warp cannon has no effect on buildings or fortifications even though it affects the troops inside. Due to the difficulty of modulating the precise energy levels required by the warp coil the cannon may only be fired on first fire orders.

Hi!

How about standard battle cannon shots for the head weapon?

Perhaps with an extra saving throw penalty for Daemons/Chaos titans and such. That could be worth testing.

How do you like the fluff, BTW?

I like it, well done Mojarn.
Not over the top, and suits the model & the info from AT perfectly.

How would you envisage the Psi Titan working in Epic: Armageddon, Mojarn?

Nice background, btw.
