Just wondering about something. The Black Legion list allows Daemon Princes. Fine and dandy. But is there any fluff featuring a Daemon Prince who is an ex-Black Legionnaire? I just think it's slightly odd to think of a Daemon Prince falling under the banner of the non-Daemonic Abaddon. |

Even Greater Daemons fall under the banner of mortal Chaos minions, so why shouldn't a Daemonprince not follow Abbadons BlackCrusades? |

Well I always get the impression that the GDs are summoned to wreak havoc, which they'll happily do, but they're not really the servant of the force commander. Daemon Princes are different in that they don't need to rely on mortals to operate outside of the Eye of Terror. |

See it so: Abbadon provides the Daemonprinces with the means to exist for longer time outside of the Eye of Terror  As part of the bargain they follow Abbadons orders....at least for a while.

Wouldn't Abaddon have qualified as a daemon prince under the 40K codex? It's not that hard to do. I think it only takes like 70 points of gifts or something like that. If your commander is pushing 200 points, it's almost certainly a daemon prince. |

Abbadon has specifically refused ascendance to Deamonhood IIRC. You can be a really powerful Chaos leader with plenty of Chaotic gifts, but that doesn't automatically make you a Daemon prince. |
