I had a look at the new codex in the shop at WHworld yesterday and was pretty impressed - plenty of good fluff

It seems to mesh the original traitors and newer renegades well. The BL and some of the others seemed to be a core of original BL with renegades from more recently providing the bulk. Which could be represented easily with the current list if you wanted to.

Other things I noticed were that not all EC were noise marines, the DG also were formed around core of DG with traitors who found special favour with Nurgle joining them.

FromWarseer:

The Terminus is 3 twin-linked lascannons and 2 sponson mounted single lascannons. The sponsons in front of the usual twin-linked lascannon sponsons are single lascannon sponsons using a Predator sprue. The twin-linked lascannons on top, which replace the usual heavy bolters, are built from a Razorback sprue.

The Terminus is were buses live.  :p  :p

3 twin-linkes and 2 single lascannons? Sounds like an Iron Warriors army recast into a tank.

I agree.  Seems a little overdone.

I've always thought the side twin-lascannon mounts should be the "front" ones not the back ones, seems odd that you'd debus *in front* of your transport's guns!

Preach the word brother! I've said the same thing a hundred times, people out there just don't seem to understand...  :D
Stick the guns on the front. Applies even more to the Crusader.

As I said in the other thread, I dislike that Terminus pattern LR too. Just looks silly.

The wacky forward sponsons block the firing arc of the rear sponsons. Should have stuck them on top, like a razorback turret.

Next up - twin-linked lascannon upgrades for the single lascannon turrets, and an extra set for the top of the beastie. Not to mention a quad mount sticking out of the front ramp.

Brilliant work... Let's build a tank that will only be able to fire 1/4 of it's guns at a target...

Smells a bit too much like a "let's make an new ?ber tank that the cheesemongers and kids getting into the hobby is going to want..."

My nephew thought the exact same thing. So, when he builds his Land Raider variants, he always swaps the positions of the doors and weapons.

I agree, it's bit over the top.

WTF is that garbage?!?!?  I don't mind the "Lascannon Porcupine" look, but do these eeediots know anything about firing arcs and tactics?  How about their own crap-riddled rules?  Unless stuff is going to be able to split fire (how dare they introduce something realistic) having those turrets block fire is stupid.

I rate this: craptastic

I might have been persuaded by the idea if the models had been done more elegantly; ie. quad lascannons in each sponson (Which could be enlarged to cover both side hatch holes).

Hena hit the head on the nail with his remark though.
