Based on what you'all know, is there any Marine Chapters that tend to fight together?
I know they have said some chapters do not like each other, but is there any "closer" chapters?

Although many chapters collaborate in large scale battles (e.g. Armageddon), GW fluff I am familiar with lists no long-term collaboration, unless it is between the Dark Angels and their 'Unforgiven' successor chapters. And any chapter with Deathwatch, which is made up of reps from any other chapter, of course.

The Unforgiven hunt the fallen together but I think that's about that. The chapters are geared towards independent operation and only come together when there is a great need.

The other side is that individual chapters are often quite scattered and it's fairly likely that if more than a company of SMs is required on short notice, it will be whichever forces are closest - maybe a UM successor chapter and some "local" Templars for instance.

I know I have seen things with more then one chapter adding forces, but I was curious if there were "tag team" chapters. Ones that seem to like to work together. I did not remeber anything in the background as such, but I also know many of the people here know more then I.

Hi!
Thats another wierd thing about SM, since their xenophobia sometimes even extends to other chapters. Anything "different" from their own chapter is viewed with suspicion.

More G/W dopey fluff ! When the poop hits the fan, you want support from everyone and anybody ! We always play it that way ... We had Marines attached to us in the ROK, nobody said, no thanks we don't need ya ! We just had them load on the the back of the M60s attached to us from one of the Tank Bns and got to work !

The level of Xenophobia needs to be lowered. For as poor as the Imperium cooperates, they should have been destroyed long ago.

Ah there is one case, by the way - the Angels of Fire and the Red Giants - the former Assault specialists, the latter bombardment and siege types - have a long history of collaboration. Which means I finally decided which of these chapters to base my epic SMs on. Both. (With Deathwatch. And maybe even a few guest Dark Angels. And a squad of Legio Fausta.)

I have missed that one. Where has it been mentioned? And I don't suppose the Angels of Fire still have white armor with red trim? Or are the Angels of Fire different from RT era Fire Angels?

Except for vehicles, which are black!
