Hi, I was thinking of building an Eldar army after I finish my SMs. However I like to create background for my army prior to building it and once done I found that none of the current lists really captured the flavor I was looking for so I wrote my own.
Any comments, questions, or criticisms are welcome. Thanks for reading.
Quan-Sesani Craftworld
Like the Biel-Tan the Quan-Sesani believe in the rebirth of the Eldar race. Unlike the Biel-Tan the Quan-Sesani do not believe this can be accomplished by making war on other races but by nurturing and defending those few Eldar that are left, particularly Eldar Exodite colonies. The Quan-Sesani see themselves as the defenders of the Eldar people. To this end Quan-Sesani fleets patrol the stars near many Exodite worlds, intercepting and destroying or diverting any threats to any Eldar colony. This means that the Quan-Sesani are effectively in a constant state of war. As such they have perhaps even more aspect warriors than the Biel-Tan do. Despite their defensive nature their approach to war is that of lightning attacks or hit and run attacks designed to confuse and demoralize the enemy as much as destroy them.
Because of the high number of aspect warriors in the Quan-Sesani army they do not normally field guardian formations as these are usually kept in reserve as static defenders, though their primary purpose is defence of the craftworld itself. Wraithguard and wraithlords are also never seen in the Quan-Sesani army as their use is an affront to the dead. The voidspinner is also never used.
Notes: The autarch upgrade has been given the farsight ability for free, the stand includes a farseer adviser. There is also a new upgrade that can be taken in place of an exarch upgrade. This is the warlock upgrade for 50 points, it has a +1 MWCC attack and the farsight ability. Also the wraithbone special rules replaces the spirit stones special rule and acts exactly the same in all respects but only applies to vehicle formations that do not contain any infantry. The avatar has also been left out of the list though he may make an appearance as part of a scenario though only the autarchs farseer can actually summon him being the only true farseer in the army. For campaign purposes the eldar exodite allies are only allowed when defending an exodite planet.
Wraithbone: A formation that consists of entirely of armored vehicles or light vehicles or war engines is allowed to remove one extra blast marker when they rally in the end phase due to the unique nature of their wraithbone armor. Note: mechanized infantry formations may use this rule if all infantry in their formation have been eliminated.
The army has the following special rules: May not Garrison (note this does not apply to Exodite allies or warwalkers), Farsight, Hit & Run, Holofields, Lance Weapons, Pulse weapons, webway portals, and wraithbone.
The Aspect Warrior Warhosts and Troupes and all Titans have an initiative of 1+ all other formations have an initiative of 2+. Quan-Sesani armies have a strategy rating of 4.
