Hey Greg, thanks for the batreps and thanks again for keeping things running during my absence.

Anyways I promised to bring forth the second batrep from my battles in this case the rematch from the first battle vs orks with reversed sides.

It was interesting and quite hard. But read for yourself if you like.

Will give some conclusion to the feel of the list so far and maybe PFE200 might share some input from his gut feeling as well?

Not a problem..

I agree with you about the BGWH if it not mounted and comes on by portal….Once on, they are slow to get anywhere and must have wraith-guards etc.….The last two games were they have been mounted in WS, it gives them the speed and the extra staying power(So long as you can make the 5+RA). So I will take the same or tweak list out again soon.. I had to chuckle when you explain how the opponent will count the number of farseer’s on the table, because that’s what happens in my group…. So yeah pretty simple to remember the rule..

Would it be sacrilege to suggest we just use the EpicUK list? Or at least the Strategy Rating and Initiative part.

The EpicUK list gives all Titans, the Avatar and Aspects 1+ Initiative and the force a 4.5 Strategy rating (5 for Deployment purposes only and +1 the turn the Avatar comes on) and has stronger Super heavies at a slightly lower cost. Aside from Spirit Stones everything else looks pretty close aside from slightly different troop size choices.

for sure it's no sacrilege :D

and it crossed several minds before..

but still there is a general lack of "sexiness" of the list when compared to biel tan or saim hann.

if i could just stick with the basic rules without any special and still create a aspect limited / guardian focused list that looks attractive to an eldar player that would do the trick ;)

the point atm is, that it looks to me that with the changes I introduced in the current WIP list it is fairly balanced and for sure not op. the farseer rule stands out a bit as a sore thumb but otherwise ist just might work.. still no one would favor it over bielt tan..

so I am toying with the idea of setting the list to strategy 4 and black guardians host ini to 2+ but at the same time to allow for an ugrade of 3 guardians + 1 farseer for said formation. one of the guardians may be upgraded to heavy weapon plattform.
the ba
sic formation cost down to 150. uprade cost to 75..

also maybe to allow 3 jetbikes back into the formation as upgrade.

--> but: either guardian upgrade or jetbike upgrade. not both

what do you think?

Edit: also it crossed my mind to allow Black guardians to garrison if the formation consists entirely out of guardians.

what do you think?
