Let's face it exarchs are worth their points for inspiring, if it wasn't for the fact the other exarchs are better it wouldn't be an issue. Tau Ethereals also have a close combat weapon, nobody cares - it's not why you bring one.

Comparing the exarchs comes up again and again (e.g. banshees also having been subpar with a non-first strike extra attack), some things can be done to fix them but it's impossible for them to be all equal. Even if the dire avenger had a FF EA, the dark reaper exarch would still be better.

Believe me, i can live with it. It was just surprising for me, to find this strongly fluff based stat here, where sometimes more rational/system based solutions are more common. I really don't care about the poor DA exarch fellas since i never used them, and i think i never will. How to say, BT is not my favourite eldar list.

Edit: equal means for me, is that exarchs all give inspiring, and all give EA +1 to their aspects basic type of attack FF/CC. This is what makes them the weakest of them all, since they almost totally lose the +1 attacks, (not just the special rules for it) cause i ALMOST can't believe a situation where a player WILLINGLY goes to 5+ CC, to lose his basic +1 4+ FF attacks. Enough said.
