After reading a post by Flogus in the [url="http://www.tacticalwargames.net/taccmd/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=18027"]new Iybraesil thread[/url], I had to go look something up about Firestorms, and, lo and behold, they *do* have a transport capacity!
I was not aware of this, and wonder if the change should be made to grant Firestorms the same transport capacity as Falcons. It's not that big of a change and, in fact, affects no lists other than the new Iybraesil, but it fully expresses the Firestorms capabilities.
Thoughts?

yeah, it's always kind of bugged me there has been that discrepancy. Of course, I would prefer that the 40K side 'get it right,' but as that will never happen, I'm all for us giving the firestorm transport capacity.
It is especially easy to do, since you cannot include a firestorm in any formation that includes infantry (well, except for that new list).
[start threadjack] Oh, and don't forget, we still have that model of the E:40k command falcon, think up some rules for that and throw it in a list somewhere - it is such a waste to have a model without rules [end threadjack]

The Eldar Epic pofiles are allready influenced by W40K (remember the introduction of the transport of the weapon plateform by Wave Serpent). So as the Firestorm has a transport ability in W40K (6 troopers, the equilalent of a Falcon, so an infantry unit in E:A), it should also have it in E:A.
This upgrade only concerns formations that mix Firestorms and infantry units. So it is a very minor change, but it has sense (only 2 formations are affected : 1 in Yme-Loc Craftworld, the other in Iybraesil Crone Worlds).

The followup question would be: Will the Nightspinner rules include the transport capacity (IA:A) or not (IA:2 - the small format one)? And does that justify the change? I think the ability to take 35cm move Aspects with the Swords of Fate will make it unnessecary to change the Firestorm, let alone the Nightspinner.

I can say that in my list, even if I have to adjust point costs, models in Epic will always reflect their 40K counterparts. I don't think we should repeat the mistakes of E:40K.
