Saim-Hann has been updated!

Minor tweaks, and the Guardian Troupe has been re-costed and a Wraithguard option added.

Discuss!

Anyone play this?

How balanced is it?  I want to make an army for it, but am worried about balance issues.

Played with the NetERC recommendations, it's a good list.  Played using the "basic" Epic with 2008 Errata, it's a bit on the powerful side.

Still, it's a lot of fun and it would be great to see some playtesting of the list.

What "balance issues" are you concerned about?

The changes look good.  I'll definitely have to give it a go when I finish my army up.

My Saim-Hann army is at the painting workshop :)

My first 3000pts are :
Wildrider Chieftain, 10 jetbikes, 2 Vypers, + Farseer (on jetbike)
Wildrider, 7 jetbikes, 2 Vypers
Shining Spears + 2 Exarchs
Sloopings Hawks
2* 3 Falcons + 2 Firestorms
2* 1 Storm Serpent
1* 2 Scorpions

Sloopings Hawks

Slooping Hawks?  Are those similar to Sailing Scorpions or Float Dragons?   :vD

I think you might want to protect your Storm Serpent by pairing it up with a Scorpion, instead of floating around on its own.

Otherwise... let's set a battle report!   :))

I hate you
And yes, Slooping Hawks. They are from a brand new Aspect Temple, specialists of kitesurf attacks ^^

I thought about this.
But I fear this would expose to much my Scorpion. On the other hand, if I loose the Storm Serpents too early, I will look like an idiot with 1000+pts off-table without webway portals !

Can you drop 50 points to get a Wraithgate in there, for back-up?

I suppose, yes : - 2 jetbikes, -1 Vyper, + 1 Wraithgate, + 1 Falcon.
I never ever played an eldar army, but I have the feeling that with two Storm Serpents, I can do without Wraithgate.
I'm in a hurry to play my first game to see if my initial feeling is right or wrong :)

With no 'Gate, any Storm Serpents will be target priority number one for the enemy!  *laugh*

Especially against the IG armed with a pair of Deathstrikes . . . .

Unless of course, you have the means to disable / destroy the threats to your Storm Serpents. I have used them regularly, sometimes without the extra Wraithgate, and found them to be fairly tough. But losing one does tend to screw up the general strategy; and besides that, it is also bad for your stress levels

No particular issues i can see without playing more.(i have not played in a while).  I just wanted to see peoples opinions and get teh discussion going.

I would be using the standard EA rules so teh better save may be an issue.  Again, unitl I play it, i wont know.

Right up there with my "He only has two AA shots at 5+ at my Vampire.  What are the odds they'd both hit and I'd miss both armor saves?"

ePilgrim witnessed a rare moment of me chucking my dice into the trash that night.

Bring the Wraithgate.
