Ilushia pointed out that I didn't post the password. ?The password to get the files is 'archon', and you can get the counters as well.

Counters, All Password is also 'archon'.

A special thanks to Gribbly Horde who did a lot of work on the counters.

FYI I understand the resolution on the counters needs some improvement.  I am working on that this week and hope to have them 'cleared up' soon.  They still work as is, however.   I recommend printing off one set and see if it works for you.

I have moved this to the general EA Eldar board, since (while related to the Eldar official development) it is a seperate issue. Hopefully, it will also be seen by those who are not traditional Eldar players there (heretics!).  :D

Double Post, but it's quite seperate now.

All cut out and present. I make 13,050pts.

Easily making/getting the following out of the cutouts 'straight out':

Coterie- Incubi, Archon[Dracon], Warriors, Sybarite
700pts

Executor Landing Module
750pts

Kashnarak
50pts

Tormentor Titan
550pts

Syndicate[Raiders]- Warriors, Ravager, Sybarite
375pts
Syndicate[Raiders]- Warriors, Ravager, Sybarite
375pts
Syndicate[Raiders]- Warriors, Ravager, Drac6n
400pts
Syndicate[Raiders]- Warriors, Ravager
350pts

Syndicate- Warriors, 2 Barges of Pleasure, Dracon

175pts

Gang- Reavers
350

200pts

Murder- Hellions
350pts
Murder
200pts

Coven[Raiders]
425pts
Coven[Raiders]
425pts

Flight- Scourges
350pts
Flight
200pts

And that makes 13050pts of Dark Eldar.

However, the 'leftover' pieces are:
3 Stands of Grotesques
2 Stands of Warriors
3 Dracitey things
1 Stand of Reaver Jetbikes
1 Talos.

A lovely little[massive!] army.

I wouldn't mind slapping the name:

Kabal of the Dark Star
on it  :;):

now to play a game!
Cheers,

Good to see the DArk Eldar are finally making their presence felt in Armageddon. Well done, and awesome list! I have afew question though that have come up from reading the Army list...

1) The Ravager and Talos have the option of taking the Horrowfex as Small Arms. If this is not taken as Small arms, is there any penalty to the FF value. As it stand there seems no reason to take the horrorfex in any configuration other than it's AP value.

2) Tormentor and Vessel of Pain; These both have Phantom Lances, but don't have the Lance ability. Is this correct?

3) The Vessel of Pain does not have any ability notes. Is this correct? As a (Dark) Eldar War Engine I would assume it would have at least Skimmer. Possible Fearless too.

4) The Torture Class Cruiser refers to a Reaper Assault Module. Is this meant to be Executor Landing Module, (sorry I used to be an Editor in a past life). This could answer the next question

4b) The Executor Landing Module has Planetfall, but no spacecraft can transport it.

5) The Perditor is refered to as a Soulfeaster in the notes. I'm assuming this is a typo brought over from the previous drafts (once again I appologise for my retentive nature, it's hard to break old habits).

I'm looking forward to unleashing the dark forces against my hapless foe this week. Bring on the horror!!!

Cheers
I.

(ps. Sorry if this has been covered before, I'm worse than A Plague Marine with a cold at finding things in Epicomms)

The "Or" marking represents that you can't do BOTH with it at the same time. For instance, the Power Fist on the Eldar Phantom is either a ranged attack OR a melee attack OR a firefight attack weapon, and it can only do one of those things at a given time. It's a way of noting that this thing works both as a long range and a short range weapon. It probably should be 'And' there not 'Or' but that's beside the point.

2) Tormentor and Vessel of Pain; These both have Phantom Lances, but don't have the Lance ability. Is this correct?

The Phantom Lances on both these units are TK attacks. As a result they allow no saving throws, at all, even from RA targets. Thus Lance would be redundent and there's no real point to adding it to their profile.

3) The Vessel of Pain does not have any ability notes. Is this correct? As a (Dark) Eldar War Engine I would assume it would have at least Skimmer. Possible Fearless too.

The Vessel of Pain has Notes: Damage Capacity 3, Skimmer, Shadowfield (2). It does not appear to be Fearless, but it is a Skimmer. Heirophants for Tyranids are also not fearless but are Super-Heavy, as are the SHTs for IG.

I think that's all correct. Can't answer the last few, as those sound more like typos then actual clarifications.

Cheers! Good to see them being looked at outside the 'core' folk on the team!

1) The Ravager and Talos have the option of taking the Horrowfex as Small Arms. If this is not taken as Small arms, is there any penalty to the FF value. As it stand there seems no reason to take the horrorfex in any configuration other than it's AP value.

It's both, essentially. Ilushia answered it rather more eloquently[sp?] than I can.

2) Tormentor and Vessel of Pain; These both have Phantom Lances, but don't have the Lance ability. Is this correct? Again, Ilushia got there first. The Lance ability is redundant due to the TK ability.

3) The Vessel of Pain does not have any ability notes. Is this correct? As a (Dark) Eldar War Engine I would assume it would have at least Skimmer. Possible Fearless too.

You may have downloaded an earlier version of V1, I believe Moscovian made a few corrections to these accounting for small typos. My copy, though, has the full notes[no Fearless]

4) The Torture Class Cruiser refers to a Reaper Assault Module. Is this meant to be Executor Landing Module, (sorry I used to be an Editor in a past life). This could answer the next question

That's quite correct, I spotted this last night too!

4b) The Executor Landing Module has Planetfall, but no spacecraft can transport it.

You were right with 4], it was the Reaper in an earlier edition, but was changed at the last moment and a few may have been missed.

5) The Perditor is refered to as a Soulfeaster in the notes. I'm assuming this is a typo brought over from the previous drafts (once again I appologise for my retentive nature, it's hard to break old habits).

Yup, that's the typo, and it's a good thing you spotted it, 'cause I certainly missed it!

I'm looking forward to unleashing the dark forces against my hapless foe this week. Bring on the horror!!! Me too. [Funny we share the same hapeless foe! :(8:    :p ]

(ps. Sorry if this has been covered before, I'm worse than A Plague Marine with a cold at finding things in Epicomms)

Nope, this seems spot on!

Also, I'm halfway through a playtest against myself with 'rather large' forces. I'm finding Ravens to be immensely useful, and Raiders and Ravagers are quite veritably raiding and ravaging!

Also, an assault of a full 8-stand+transport Coven just obliterated a Leman Russ Company that'd lost two tanks and had three BMs...I was quite impressed!

Lovely!

So, being bored this evening I decided to print out markers and play a brief game against myself using AMTL and Dark Eldar... The results were not very promising for the Eldar (Though this is probably due to my own lack of experience using them much). Game ended on turn 2 with a total wipe-out for the Dark Eldar. Practically every assault backfired.

AMTL had

1x Warlord w/ 2x Quake Cannon, 1x CPL, 1x Chain Fist

1x Warlord w/ 2x TLD, 1x Laser Burner, 1x Melta-Cannon.

1x Paladin Formation w/ 3x Paladin, 1x Baron.

1x Reaver w/ 2x TLD, 1x VMB.

I suspect that a large part of why the battle turned on the Dark Eldar (I'd have to go look at their list to put it up since I forgot to save it before printing it!) Is that the table I was playing on was quite small. Since the table was only 3x3 or so. The result was not pretty to say the least. Dark Eldar got first move on both turns, but essentially everything turned out horribly for them. Probably just me being rather bad at the army. In total I think the AMTL only took 1 DC worth of damage off of the Reaver, everything else was saved or dropped Void Shields instead.
