I have just posted a battle report for an Ulthwe Eldar victory over Codex Marines.  Both players made a number of mistakes, but the Ulthwe army didn't need SR 4 or Sprit Stones to win.  In fact, Spirit Stones would have had no impact on the game whatsoever (the only unit that rallied with BMs still on it was then used to capture objectives and was safe from enemy actions).  SR 5 could have had decisive outcome, however, in determining who had to announce teleports first.

Overall, my opponent thought that the list was balanced, with the possible exception of the Aspect Troupe.  For only 150 points, Ulthwe can get 4 Swooping Hawks that can teleport themselves pretty much anywhere, and place an opponent's unit in their ZoCs, forcing the opponent to deal with the Hawks instead of whatever real threat is facing them.

You are quite welcome! ?I'm not sure if the batrep helps develop either the Eldar special rules or the Ulthwe list. ?I didn't take any of the formations that "define" Ulthwe (except Seer Council... who really didn't do anything) and lack of Spirit Stones had no effect on the outcome (the only time it would have had any effect was in the 'Shees recovery from breaking... and they just claimed objectives).

Worst of all, I think the game was decided during the force selection. ?I just so out-activated the Marines that my poor use of my Eldar tanks had no negative outcome on the game.

Was there anything useful in seeing the 4 stand Aspect Troupes in action?
