Keep in mind here: Corey was playing possibly the WORST Eldar army you could construct (Well, maybe not THE worst, but fairly bad). And that's the major reason I won. He was being out-activated by AMTL! Had he had the support units to corall and control my movement across the board those Cobras would have simply torn my army to shreds. And even without it they walked up and destroyed one of my warlords without even trying. I'll admit I probably have a skewed view given how many saves he made (Shot at his Scorpions twice with my TLD-equipped Warhounds... Hit a grand total of 12 times, IIRC... Did 1 damage). So they may not be as much of an issue as they seem. But TK BP weapons strike me as fairly crazy good. Especially when backed up with something good at stripping shields (Say a duo or trio of Scorpions. Or a Phantom. Or a unit of Falcons).
I do know that WEs are always vulnerable to TK weapons without shields... But how many can kill a 12 DC Great Gargant 35% of the time in a single attack once those shields are gone? Sure, 2 Deathstrikes can do it... But only about 2.7% of the time (Worse actually, since there's a chance they won't both hit). And very very little else can do so. Infact, in the entire game I can only think of three units capable of instantly destroying a Warlord. 2 Deathstrikes, 2 Cobras and 3 Shadowswords. Deathstrikes have the best chances I think (Roughly 41.6% or so), then Cobras do (I believe that Gotchya claimed a 43% chance to do 7+. So slighly under that, probably around 40% to do 8+), and Shadowswords are a distinct last at about 11%. Now the Deathstrikes and Shadowsword guesses there do not take into account accuracy of weapons, only their potential damage. But comparatively the Deathstrikes have as good a chance to roll a 6 or less as an 8 or more. The Cobras, if they hit twice, will never see less then 4 DC, and should see 6 DC very consistently. If they hit three times then you're looking at 6 DC minimum and 9 DC average.
Yes, they're short range... But they're rediculous. They'll kill other things as well as titans, often times much much better. I'd consider them to be a reasonably solid unit, in general. They're reasonably fast, not bad in terms of armor (Maybe not great, but they have the same armor as a Warhound), they're skimmers so they can go right over whatever terrain they feel like. They are a bit on the expensive side, 2 for 500 points, but they'll absolutely eviscerate anything they get within range of, IMHO.
