Well, there is a way around this problem... Play a bigger game .  Ask your opponent for a 3500 point game and now you can fit a Vampire into the mix, or some fighters.

Well, my opponent and I will be playing a 4000 or perhaps a 5000 point game if we're feeling particularly adventurous, so it could be very interesting.  We'll be introducing flyers for the first time in the current rules too, and I know for a fact that he'll be taking Thunderhawk Gunships, so AA is going to be an issue, although the Warlock Titan itself does have some AA capabilities.

As for myself, I think it's time I dusted off those old Nightwing models.
