Since Dark Eldar are attackers/raiders, having an SR 3 means that, a lot of the time, they won't be going first or "picking the battlefield", so I've thought of this suggestion:
"For determining table edge and deployment order, Dark Eldar armies are treated as having SR5, for all other purposes they have SR3."
That's just a rough rendition that can easily be re-written.
Thoughts?

Hmmm... I don't know what that would do to the list simply because it hasn't been played very much at all. Might work-
My thoughts initially on the Strategy Rating of 3 is that it allows the DE to be REactive to the placement of enemy troops. IMO this is a benefit, not a hinderance.
I never thought about the table edge aspect of it, however, since in my group we normally play random table sides.
I guess my only real opposition to it would be that it would create another special rule. Past that it is something to put on the table for the next iteration.
Anyone else?
By the way, Chroma. Hope you saw your name on the list. I didn't realize how much you helped out till I went back and read all the posts. Thanks much.

The hit-list? Cool...
Well, I slip in and out of working on various armylists like a Mandrake at a slumber party... or something... *laugh*
And, really, the SR thing isn't a "special rule" per se, just a novel way of doing it... and don't we have a "free" Special Rule slot? *laugh*
I hope to get a Dark Eldar playtest game or two in this week before I'm cat-sitting my girlfriend's two feline companions for 3 weeks...
