Yeah, that Gue'senshi update won't materialise itself...

(if it did, I wouldn't have to worry about finishing painting them!)

There are a few further issues, although they are minor. Things like looking at the upgrade options, the focus of the Kroot, etc. The Gue'senshi will probably need to wait to further developments.

Plus they will need to wait for my paintbrush!

(still need to get 3000 points ready...)

Just a quick thought, but would it be possible to pull "Tau Supreme Commander" from being a rule in a datasheet & adding it to the special rules section, along with some fluff and an expanded text for it?

It would help to group rules there rather than scatter them over numerous locations.

Well, I'm all for this.

Its a nit-pick issue with me - but you can see my rants on this elsewhere on epicomms.

I see no reason to say special rules are located before the army list description, then right before the army list points section for tournaments, then within the army list itself (see eldar wraithgate, then finally within data sheet note areas!

Blah... lets just call them what they are - army special rules - put them all together, and move on.

So preach on!

:p

Wouldn't it be something to be the first list that doesn't have 'hidden' special rules?

:)

Added to the log of changes to be made. Thanks.

You mean I suggested a change - and people agreed to it?

D,

LOL

CS,

OK - if you can make a decision on the scorpion, AX-10 main gun, and marker sentries - I think we'll be ready for v4.4 - right?

Like pulling teeth to get v4.4 issues resolved for some reason! :80:

There was some discussion regarding the cost of the Orca.  Did anything come of that?

Cw,

Definitely discussion, theory, and caution. Definitely something we need to look at.

There's general agreement that lots of them could objective grab cheaply.

There's no playtest of whether the tactic/theory would work in a real tournament situation against various opponents with the other variables considered - such as impact to list, possibilities of other lists duplicating the same tactic, if the tactic is realistically viable in a tourny situation, etc.

Definitely something for testing in v4.4.

Probably not reasonable to expect us to come to a solution prior to v4.4 publishing.

Maybe the Orca could become a replacement for Devilfish, or otherwise chosen as transport for specific formations, rather than coming out of the Air Caste allocation...

Or we could have some sort of limit to how many you can take - ie you can have only as many Orcas as formations which it can transport, or something.

We could just make the Orca an upgrade. This would make it limited to one per Cadre or Contingent.

This would seem to solve the problem fairly simply.
