Hi!

At present, we have a few items in the CS, and (possibly) one or two more due to go in.

We have at present:

*The Drone Sentry Turret Emplacements,

*The Alternate Hammerhead turrets,

*The Explorer starship

and

*The Orbital Bombardment stats.

Items angled for inclusion have been:

*The Protector starship (any update on this?)

*The Drone Sensor Turrets (unless I'm mistaken)

However, there are a few possible unit types we could make room for, such as:

*O'shovah (we already have a figure for him - maybe a note regarding the army composition in an Enclave force would be required also...)

*Shas'o R'myr (with luck, FW will do an Epic-scale mini...)

*The XV8x suits (ditto on these)

*The Emissary Starship (for that Drop Cadre list Xisor brought up before)

What are people's thoughts on these? Can/should we add in these - or other - units into the list, while we are here? Or have we enough as is?

I would like to see the drone sentries in the general playtest list as it looks like we have that hammered out, however, beyond that, I think we are good to go if we can match the collectors models in v4.2.8 WIP list.

I don't want to hold the vault list up.

I think special characters are something for 40K

I think the alternate suits are interesting, but on such a small level that it doesn't really matter. Factor them into the leaders and assume they are there.

Good point. My take on these is:

I dont necessarily think that we need any further space vessels in the list, and adding even more to the collectors section is something very unusual. The same applies for the orbital bombardment. I understand why these are there, but we are using this section in a completely different way to all other lists. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it should be noted.

Drone sensor turrets are something that I would like further discussion on a bit later. I am not sure exactly what their role would be in the force list.

Right now, I think that we should limit further inclusions into the collectors section as much as possible, at least until the main list and units are more developed, so that they do not serve as a distraction.

Fair enough - though I would like to see the Protector in there, so we have 1 metal and 1 resin ship in the main list, as well as 1 metal and 1 resin ship in the CS.

CS, the purpose of this unit is to provide a cheaper ML to support other formations. It trades capabilities for cost.

Uses:

1. Placed in front of units to extend existing ML coverage

2. Placed on a flank to provide a cheap screen

3. Teleport in to light up units that have long range indirect fire

In and of itself, it is pretty much worthless. However, leveraged with other units, it becomes a force multiplier.

These are just off the top of my head as I've only gotten them into a couple games.

I for one am on board with seeing them included CS.

I think they are a tau-ish unit and it would appear we've come to a consensus for trying based upon feedback and the early playtesting. I'd like to see them in the main list, but I'd say there definitely appears to be enough steam to include them in the collectors section while we continue to test them, if you are so inclined.

Cheers,
