Did we ever come up with an actual name for this aircraft?  A-X-1-0 is very bland :D

CS can we get a shortlist perhaps to vote on?

Well, it may be a less than exciting name, but it's guns certainly make an impression.

Its the official name of the unit. You're going to confuse people if you rename it

Confuse people? really? That's not giving the community much credit PG  It just lacks a bit of pizazz.

Not even if we rename it Tigershark II (AX-1-0)?  Something... anything.... AX-1-0 doesn't roll off the tongue when I've used one.

"ok, I'm going to bring in the Tige... err AX-1-0..." :D

Yes, IA3/FW are extremely accurate in their interpretations and we should always follow their lead. Forge World Epic army list anyone??

I think that it is best to keep it as the AX-1-0 for now. It will stay this way in the force list - unless FW or GW decide that the Imperials have renamed it (how the hell did the Imperials come up with AX-1-0 anyway?).

Of course, most people will know what you mean if you call it a Whiteshark!  :p  :;):

That's the field designation from the Taros Campaign.

It has to be reported back to the Adeptus Terra, who will assign it a unique name after about 500 years of bureaucracy.

We have no justification in making up yet another fannish name. :)

Keep AX-1-0. At least everybody knows which type of Aircraft comes upon him when he hears the coding. To be honest I like this nomination for a Titan Killer Aircraft

I think it went something like this:

Field Report: "Ahhhhhh....X'ddddd a titan!!!!"

Base: "How many are there?"

Field Report: "One only"

Base: "Right. AX-1-0 it is"

:p

It's named after the kill score so far.

Tau - 1
Titans - 0

:D

I've always thought it was a silly name, but I don't play Tau. So, I guess my opinion doesn't matter.  :D
