Cool, looking forward to the update (you'll see the revised Gue'senshi list once the new Vault list is up)

I will be turning v4.3.1 into v4.3.2!  :D

As it shoudl be CS, as it should be.

However, I will be drawing heavily on v4.2.8 for inspirations, etc.

Glad to hear it CS.

Once it is done, I will submit it here for critique, and then send a copy off to Jervis after feedback on it

Very much looking forward to getting v4.1 updated in the vault for all to use, see, and chew on.

Tactica biting nails in anticipation of v4.3.2

Cheers,

:p

Hi!

Sorry if I sound like a nag, but any update on 4.3.2?

CS,

with all due respect intended, since we missed the last couple promised dates for revision, is there a new target for 4.3.2?

:8):

[edit: Please note: This was meant to be tongue-in-cheek CS, cw's comments had me second guessing how this would be taken - _absolutely_ no offense was/is intended!]

LMAO - I expect top performance out of my staff, but reward as such for results.

Back on Topic though, hopefully CS notes that I meant that in jest.  :alien: :p

...and if we get a 4.3.2 list that much faster, YOUR WELCOME CW!  :;):

Now then, back to your regularly scheduled programming...

Cheers,

:D  No problem.

Work has been manic in the run-up to Christmas. I have a partially completed version. I will do all that I can to get this uploaded by Monday at the latest.

Again, sorry for the delay, you guys do have a right to expect a decent, playable list.

One issue that I am wrestling with is the points cost for the Tetra upgrade. The contingent is 175 points for 6, while there are 3 in the upgrade. I am split between this being 100 points, and 75 points. It really should be 87.5 points!

So, should an additional 3 units be more or less than the standard predicted cost?

On the plus side, I have ordered a load more minis to swell the ranks of my Tau force which is now looking much better without resorting to proxies. Hopefully, I will have the lot based (but in no way will they have even seen a paint brush) ready for a couple of intensive extra games over the Chrismas holidays.

CS,

The rule of thumb is to round up, not down.

However, in this case, the tetra upgrade was at 75 and has worked fine for a long time. The contingent started out at 150 but proved to be underpointed slightly when it was acting as a stand alone formation by some. Therefore, we gave it a points bump.

So in the end, I think we have it right in the list. The upgrade is cheaper, that's true... or you could look at it as the contingent is intentionally more expensive.

In this particular case, I don't think the points of either should be adjusted.

Just my vote.

Cheers,

I'd agree that the Tetra formation is fine as is, it works well for my Gue'senshi while being suitably fragile to compensate for the speediness!

(Of course, I could just be looking for one less revision I'll have to make for v7 of the Grenadiers list...)

Tactica: Somebody challenged (tneva?) that a battlesuit doesn't move on motion of the guy inside - heh, I have no idea. I seen the Golden daemon model that somebody worked up too - but I don't know that it was even close to accurate. I would have to research whether internal movement of the Ethereal had any impact on the suits movement as I poiniently don't know. To me - its as relivent as the sky being blue though.

According to the FireWarrior novel the Tau is piloting from inside the chest cavity.  So he wouldn't lose a leg if the leg was shot off.  However, according to the book, the Tau is "jacked" into the suit, so if a leg is blown off, he will "feel" it.

That's about all I get into on this topic at the moment until I have a chance to filed my Tau in battle.
