Rough synopsis:
1. The DrF didn't have a huge impact in my battle (1500 pts). It added fire at distance which was nice, it had the only MW on the board, but only being one, didn't have much of a dominating effect. I hit 2/4 shots with the MW.
2. At a smaller level of points, the DrF wasn't able to capitalize on the synergies that are present at higher points levels. For example, with only four activations, I didn't use CF the entire game. Also, I didn't use the SC re-roll the entire game, twice because it slipped my mind and on the other turns I didn't need it.
3. Having my SC in a DC3 vehicle was nice as it took a couple of shots and was able to keep ticking. I don't think that the deflector shield is warranted.
Summary: I think that the new configuration at 300 pts "feels" about right. More playtesting will tell.
I will be fielding one in a 2700 pt game against Tyranids on the 26th. In this game, I'll be bringing more Scorpionfish in that game and expect that the impact will be easier to notice.

Always beware of the Assault Detachments, as they tend to use clipping. You won?t need a Superheavy in those Games either. Ever field an Ethereal if possible -> Fearless Units may stay and bring the Marine Attack to Halt. And if Termies might show up, keep a Unit at Overwatch , it lessens the Pain seeing them vanish again.
Cheers! Steele

Thanks for the feedback Honda, very helpful. Those results aren't suprising at all at a 1500 point game.
Thanks again,
