I will go through these threads in more detail later. However, I do want to say that I have yet to see anything to convince me that...

1. The current list is not almost done, balanced and all.

2. It is not possible to balance all of the units that we have. I think that it certainly is.

3. There is any reason to drop anything from the current list.

More to follow.

Where is he by the way? He seems to have vanished from the boards.

You really don't know why Tactica isn't around, Hena? It's the same reason I've been teetering on the edge of leaving. The exact same reason Honda hasn't been around. He got tired of the incessant moaning and whining and bashing his head against a brick wall that goes on here that things aren't balanced ... blah blah blah.

Thanks for posting Honda. I thought I was the only one who felt this way.

To play devils advocate here, it is possible but not necessary that the Scorpionfish is the "variant of Orca, armed with missile racks and bomb bays".  :;):

The ScorpionFish is a missile platform. I think that it does fit the background of the race.

At this point, unless SG actually talk to me directly and tell me that 'we will accept the list if you drop the Scorpionfish' I am unwilling to drop units because it might be a problem in the possible future because it doesnt have a mini!  :p

As for command aspect, I must admit that I like this... It is different, and I can imagine the Tau having a c&c hq on the battlefield. Whether we represent this as increased shields is different.

I guess that what I am saying is that I am open to suggestion on this, but that in my opinion it fits the background, is relatively balanced (good grief! Dont change that!  :D ) and is a nive flavour unit.

Are there any specific issues with it?

That's somewhat weird. You assume that I haven't seen the same in Tyranid side?

No Hena, that's not what I'm assuming because I know it. That was my point entirely. I wasn't saying you didn't know this was happening, I was replying to your question where Tactica was.

CS, I have no specific issues with the SF.
