Adding one is understandable (long range bm placement. 2 - well maybe he had some odd points left over!

One bit of advice - drop a razorback from the devs and add it too the big tactical formation - keeps the devs break point the same and ups the BTS tactical guys.

And bearing the comment on the Typhoons can you replace a typoon upgrade with a razorback upgrade for the basic tactical squad.

Also feel free to use the slightly powered up suggested marine list here.

I added two Typhoon launchers due to the fact that I have two Landspeeder Typhoons, and three Multi-Melta varients. I had a vague idea that they could be used in an auxilliary missile-support role I guess.

I tried out a game today, and discovered that I'd much rather have had four multi-melta varients...

Okay, I've transferred my lists to the experimental points costs TRC linked me to, achieving this:

- Bike Detachment - 250
   4 Bikes
   1 Attack Bike
   Chaplain.

- Land Speeder Detachment - 225
   4 Multi-Melta Speeders.
   1 Typhoon Speeder.

- Tactical Detachment 1 - 475
   Force Commander.
   Hunter.
   3 Rhinos.
   1 Lascannon Razorbacks.

- Tactical Detachment 2 - 300
   3 Rhinos.

- Whirlwind Detachment - 375
   Hunter.

- Devestator Detachment - 400
   Librarian.
   Hunter.
   1 Lascannon Razorback.
   Rhino.

- Terminator Detachment - 400
   4 Terminators.
   Chaplain.

- Warhound Titan - 275

Though I'm not sure my twin Inferno Gun Warhound is worth 275 points... I'm not even sure if he's worth 250! :D

Just play the Warhound as a default Warhound with VMB and PBG. :D That's the way they appear in the core rules after all, and double inferno-guns is fairly scary for mass-infantry armies like Orks.

The only one I've painted up so far is the twin-inferno varient I mentioned before... normally that'd be the only non-standard unit I'd be using in my list, but I don't have much of an idea as to how Marines tend to fare at tournaments... they like Drop Pods apparently? :;):

*Must get around to working out some percentage calculations for getting a rough starting guide for Titan Weapon loadouts....*

My suggestion would be take the main body of the titan, subtract X amount from it, then split that X amount between it's main weapons. Choose one as the 'basic' weapon then cost other things compared to it. Dunno if it'd work very well, but that's the usual way I price things. Start with a basic unit which is my 'default' unit, then price things compared to their ability against it's.

Don't really work like that as different weapons are worth diferent amounts in different combinations and with certain support formations.

My idea is to take the old Titan weapons & hull costs, work out the cost of the new configuation Warhound under the old stats, take the percentages of the costs, transfer them into Epic A, then work out the expected costs of the other weapons available to titans in Epic A currently based on their costs in the old system but modified by the same ratio as the current Warhound config recieves... probably rounding off to the nearest 25 points.

It should at least be a good starting point, at least if the weapons have a roughly similar utility in the two systems, and just as long as Warhounds were balanced in the rule set I take the points costs from.

Theoretically this would work for Reavers and Warlords too.

It might work. As Chris points out, it's likely to be a mess anyway. Different weapons have different synergies together. Take, for instance, a Warlord. A Warlord with say 2 Melta-Cannons and 2 Volcano Cannons is going to be a nightmare to enemy titans, but not good for much else... It's a synergy thing (Which is part of the idea, IMHO, it allows people to design synergistic weapon-styles to make their titans fill precisely the role they want them to).

Indeed it might be a mess, but hopefully the old stats took this into account and costed weapons accordingly.

If you want the AT II rules I can email them to you. I have them as a PDF somewhere, and given that they're what, 6+ years old now and no longer supported I don't think GW is gonna care.

3 x Kroot    3 x 175 = 525
3 x Orca     3 x 100 = 300

825 points for 30 air assaulting scouts with 4+ CC... Try it, you'll love it.

I've posted my preliminary points cost conversions for the 3 Imperial Titan Classes in the AMTL forum. Feel free to check them out and comment.

We played the battle tonight... I'll have a report in tomorrow, not too complex unfortunately since we lacked a quick method of noting down what was happening on the battlefield, but I got some decent photos, and well, stuff happened, and little 6mm tall guys died. :D

Yes, probably would :)
As it was I brought an old version of the list so couldn't take too many things that were different :)

I ended up with
850 Manta
Played with 1+ Init and the AA missiles switched for another MW GM.
525 3 x Pathfinders
350 Crisis with SC
475 Hammerheads with Swordfish and Skyray
500 Ionheads with stingrays

Excellent firepower, reasonable survivability and excellent manoverability.

You can find out what happened over the two games (I played tau first game, then we switched sides and I played Marines the second) when the batreps go up :)
