I think the other point I'd be interested in seeing explored further is playtesting this list against different opponents, using different lists against it and then reporting back.
I'm not trying to minimize what you think is an issue, but Tactica is correct in that you can build a list that looks spiffy (or brutal), but after testing against different opponents discover that it's not what you originally expected.
The point that I think needs mentioning is how "fragile" your 18 or 24 AT shots are. It doesn't take a lot of fire power coming back in their direction to start suppressing some of those shots and then your performance starts degrading.

[Edit: Re-read this post and deleted it.]
The same post, but in better form:
It still seams odd to me that a close support unit, the Piranha, could be used as a standoff artillary unit. It seams totally out of character for this specific fast attack vehicle.

Reddevil: I share your reservations about the Piranha. I've claimed for a long time that I thought fielding them en masse could be a problem and that they needed to be looked at closely.
That said, I agree that many of the above suggestions might be effective counters and it needs to be tested.

Putting that many Pirahnas in an army could be seen as OTT but army list construction for ALL armies can be broken when someone wants it to be - it depends solely on the person you are playing. I can field an entire army of Terminators if I choose to. My battlefield capabiltiy becomes very limited as a consequence however.
