Maybe the answer to these is lost to the mists of time, however I am wondering why the Kroot stats have a few oddities, which may have a good explanation:

- Why do Kroots have CC 4+ (as opposed to 5+)? Their 40k stats do not suggest anything like Ork level CC ability.

- Why do Kroot Hounds have so little move? Other hounds seem to have a base move of 20 cm

- Why is the Master shaper not a character (as opposed to a full fledged unit)?

- Why are Kroots scouts?

Kroot got changed weakened in the new 6th Edition Codex. In previous editions they had S4 and 2 attacks. It goes against their previous background, but I guess the studio wanted to differentiate the Tau army more having no good assault units.

Kroot Hounds have 20cm move. You might be using an older version of the list?

It's more appropriate for the Shaper to be a unit rather than a character. He and his bodyguards can have slightly better armour that way and it wouldn't be fitting for him to be with Hounds (he couldn't keep up) or Oxes (he'd have too good a save and FF attack then).

Kroot Hounds have 15 cm in the 6.6 ref sheet.

Is that a mistake?

I just double-checked and it's 20cm in the Tau 6.6 pdf document, both in the full entry and the reference sheet in the pdf. It's 20cm in the reference sheet in the Net-EA Tournament Pack 2013-08-07 too.

I'm not sure where you're looking but it might be an older version?
