Quote (Hena @ 11 Dec. 2005 (08:00)) | Liked the report as well in here.
But I also want to point out that small bugs are useless. Far from it. I've won many games by having a huge horde (25+ common broods) that just run to other end and engage everything in sight. Its nice to see the enemys face, when killing 10 stands doesn't have much effect to the horde . | Well that is true to a certain degree, although my comment was meant in regard to Tau, which are so mobile it makes it near impossible to get close enough to do anything. Add in some units with no firefiight ability and you have useless little bugs.
Although the tactics must change depending on your opponent.
I think I will introduce myself over on the Bug forum, and I have a few opinions on the Necron list as well.

And I should also add to Gar's comments that what he sees from me is a completely mechanized-no feet on the ground Tau list (same in 40K).
There will more than likely be other Tau players he can chew on who don't mechanize their forces to the degree that I do...however, that would require a trip to Memphis right now and I don't think he wants to play against Tau that bad.

Well, I noticed in that game Marines really lack weapons to go up against Titans. Although I'm not even sure if assaulting the Nids would have been a good option either.
One formation of termies assaulting a Titan = all dead termies. Actually I forgot about rolling to see if I crit, but it probably would not have made any difference. That was only a 400 pt Titan !!
I'm looking to upgrade my marine list with some Wolfhounds and maybe a couple of fighters.
