Recon Cohort (100)
First game saw me against IG, went 3/0 (BTS, TnH, Blitz) in Turn 4. Second game was against Chaos, with the same results as the first. Third was against another IG which ended on Turn 3 with 4/0 for AMTL (BTS, TnH, Blitz, TSNP).
Was a potent sweep, but the majority hinged on a few good dice rolls on my part/bad dice rolls on opponent's parts. And the choices of my enemies. The first game was really won for me by the artillery titan which killed DwarfSupreme's Supreme Commander, and broke the formation. That meant no re-roll, and on the second turn he bombed almost every activation. The fact that his Deathstrikes did so poorly and Shadowswords as well helped a LOT. Neither did any appreciable damage at all. The second game was a lot closer, I lost a lot more that game and the game really came down to a strategy roll after ToadChild teleported in his Chosen onto my FF Warlord. I won, the Warlord obliterated his Chosen. The final game against ePilgrim was more or less a total turkey shoot. The only damage he really did to me was placing a lot of blastmarkers with Manticores, and managing to almost kill my artillery titan (Left it with 1 DC at the end of the game), but he more or less left the Knights and close-range Warlord alone... What amazed me was that people really ignored the Knights for the most part during the tournament in favor of trying to kill my Titans. The Knights Lancer were broken in the first game as DS shot at them with his Flak Battery and killed one. None of them died in the second game (Infact the Lancers got me BTS by assaulting into ToadChild's huge infantry formation and wiping it out down to just one Defiler). And the third game was a little closer. The Lancers killed ePilgrim's Shadowsword, I don't think the paladins did anything important that game except wipe a unit of Rough Riders which charged them. The Lancers took heavy casualties though (They had one guy left, and he was broken, at the end of the game.) For the most part I suspect I won more on the shock-value of the list then on the actual power of my particular combination. No one there had played against AMTL under the current rules as far as I know other they Corey, and I never fought him (Thankfully!). Most of the others fell heavily into the 'Kill the Titans!' pit trap and left my Knights largely alone. The Sentinels are awe-inspiring on the battlefield. Not for being particularly powerful or endurant (They more or less did no damage at all to the enemy in any game, they mostly just died), but for being able to garrison the mid-line and force the enemy to waste a turn shooting at a 100 point unit of sentinels with a 300-400 point garrisson force while my titans walk up to attack them.
