I'm noticing you guys have a lot of AA in these lists, do you face a lot of air in your games? For me I don't know that I'd need more than two tbolts tops.

As Dave said, we tend to see a lot of air and I like having at least 1 formation of T'bolts for ground attacks. Also, the multilaser version provides 12 shots each. Even with the range being 30 cm, it's nothing to sneeze at. I've seen them serve as a decent deterrent when used to protect Blitz. If by chance they get to sustain, they can tear up formations.

Are you going Slaanesh with this and do I really want to know what variant of knight this is?

Sorry, not sure what you mean by this comment. I use the Warden that has a cannon in its carapace for the vanquisher variant. For the multilaser version, I use the Warden that has a rocket launcher on its carapace because that's the best fit of the 3 Warden minis.

Mard, did you find that the seneschels weren't that useful on your formations and did the three unit formations break too easily on you?

The unit of Three still did ok. Just hug terrain as you move towards your enemy and try not to leave units out in the open.

The Senechals are super useful. The aussie scene is pretty used to Knight and know it's hard to shed BM's and get across the board for engagements

C'mon DS, you must be off your game... :P
You spelled "vanquisher" as wanquisher, as in wanking ... You know, wanking off, wanker, etc. don't make me draw a diagram on how that connects to Slaanesh.

Make sure it's a big diagram so he can see it. And label all the parts so he know what's what.

I blame my typo on the Slaanesh reference.

I am thinking of expanding into knights, now that I have the 6 from the new GW adeptus titanicus box set. Reading up on the rules for knight shields, the rules are slightly confusing. Does the knight lose the 4+ shield save if there is a crossfire during the attack, or from any support fire attacks during an engagement, or just the re-rolls?

It seems to me that the knight only gets its normal save and re-roll which are then affected by lance/MW and TK weapons as normal. Note the rules for this are cut and pasted below.

SPECIAL RULE
Knight Technology
Units with a Knight Shield may make a saving throw on a 4+ when
they are hit instead of using their armour value. No modifiers ever apply to this saving
throw and it is unaffected by macro-weapon, lance and titan killer hits. However, each
point of damage from a titan killer hit must be saved separately. If the unit has
reinforced armour as well then it is allowed to re-roll a failed save using its armour
value unless the hit was a macro-weapon, lance or titan killer. Finally, none of these
benefits apply to units in a crossfire or to hits from supporting fire.

They lose the shield from attacks from crossfire and support.

The shields just an invulnerable save that is used instead the normal save, not as an extra like the normal invulnerable.
