Hi!

I wonder how much it would cost to make one. :)

Hi!

I would rather eat parts of my epic collection than give GW money, but you may have a point. ;)

Give it some time though, once my queue thins out I may tackle this topic. ;)

Have you factored in the cost of reinforcing your tables . . . . ;)

Two thoughts: Conversion kits that could give a 40k vehicle proper 6mm details (like the Knight-to-Warlord kit somebody here is making on Shapeways) should be doable?

And now I really want to see a 2mm game set in the 40k setting. Infantry are counters, yes, but the game could have massive armour formations and have a focus on War Engines. You don't have to see the shoulderpads on marines in every game.

Hi!

Alas no table that could support it exists. I'm more worried about my second floor caving in... ;)

I'm not sure if it's technically feasible yet but I could imagine someone scanning an old CI using a high resolution 3d scanner and printing the result larger on Shapeways, using high quality ultra fine material if rich/fussy or lower quality plastic otherwise. No need for anyone to cast something so large.

I believe like one can scan CAD in a larger scale to reduce the size to a smaller scale. The same can be done with a smaller model to a larger scale ... Like scanning an Epic scale CI and printing it in real scale. But as noted, it would be costly for something as big as a ... say ... a 25mm M113 or similar ...

Well, the 113 in 25mm seems reasonable.

If one is truly interested in conversion:

You might be able to find it cheaper this was just a quick search. By my reckoning 10 cm tall.
