If you use a 1920x1080 pixel resolution your monitor shows the models in Epic Scale:

Rukes from Codex:

Quote:
The knight detachment is separate from allies 1-3 can be taken, Do not score

Cannot ally with Chaos, Daemons, Crons, Orks or Nids.

Allies of convenience with Eldar and Grey Knights

Desperate allies with Dark Eldar and Tau

Imperial Knight Armies
These rules are for the primary detachment of knights:
Knights are scoring and one is the warlord.

Knightly ranks
"Players that want to include knights apparent or seneschals in their games must roll a dice for each of their knights errant or knights paladin (other then the warlord) at the same time as warlord traits and refer the knightly rank table below to see what the rank that knight has"
1: Knight apparent. Subtract 1 from the knights Ws and Bs. in addition a apparents ion shield confers a 5+ invulnerable save instead of the normal 4+
2-5: Knight. Standard rules
6: Seneschal. Add 1 to the knights Ws and Bs. In addition a knight seneschals ion shield confers a 3+ invulnerable save insteaf of the normal 4+

Warlord table:
The warlord is always a Seneschal
1. Master of the Hunt: All friendly knights in 12" add +1 to run or charge range
2. Fearsome Reputation: Enemy units within 12" of the warlord use the lowest leadership value
3. Master of the Joust: The Knight warlord rerolls failed to hit rolls in any assault phase in which he successfully charges into close combat
4. Master of the Field: The Warlord up to D3 friendly knights have outflank
5: Master of Siege: The warlord and all friendly knights add +1 to rolls they make on the building damage table
6: Indomitable: The warlord has "It will not die"

Agreed, far too big, looks as tall as a warhound? Shame, I like the design otherwise, aside from the shield.

It's not to big. The Lancer just has longer legs.

It looks nice, but I think it's upper legs are about 1-2cm too long to work well with the paladin.

It is tall but, ya, it's all from the legs. That 5cm of extra move has to come from somewhere I guess.

From memory, was n't the E40K Lancer taller than the Paladin? Part of it is stance with the Paladin being slightly hunched whilst the Lancer is standing/striding tall.

I doubt I can afford one in W40K sclae, and I am unlikely to use one in a W40K game even if started playing again more often. But it does look cool though IMO and in my books goes down as a good reimagining of the old archetype.

Yes, the Lancer is taller than the Paladin.

More right with it than not. Of course it's FW so they tend to get things correct the first time

The Cerastus Knight-Lancer is armed with a Cerastus Shock Lance.
It's a Strength D Ap2 weapon which grants Initiative+1 in Close-combat. (sobasically a TK weaopn)
It can also shoot 18" , Strength 7 Ap2. Heavy 6, Concussive. So this is basically an 18" Plasma-weapon with 6 shots and soem Disrupt.
15cm, AP4+/AT5+ Disrupt will do the deal in Epic.

Instead of shooting the Cerastus Knight-Lancer can run 3D6" soit IS faster than a Paladin.

It also has an Ion Gauntlet Shield. It's the same as the Ion SHieldof the Paladin. But unlike the Ion Shield of the Paldin it can't protect the rear but works in close-combat. It also impedes a -1 to hit penalty on cc-attacks from other super-heavy walkers and gargantuan creatures.
