ive got a game tommorrow against a friend who is using his necrons,we are playing 4K My opponent is using necrons and he usually field something like this:deciver,abbatoir,3 monoliths,6 obelisks,destroyers and a crap load of infantry. heres the list im plaing on using: Skitarii demi century-300 tech-lord-100 fire support-rapiers-100 fire support-rapiers-100 600 skitarii demi century-300 skitarii demi century-300 ordinatus minoris company-450 turbo laser destructor-105 555 ordinatus majoris-400 mars pattern-100 500 ordinatus majoris-400 2 x vulcan mega bolter-free 400 warlord titan-725 titan close combat weapon-25 quake cannon-75 assault pod-free veteran priceps-25 sacred icon-50 carapace multi-laser-50 laser burner-free 950[/b forge knights-[b]400 Thats 4005 if my math is corrrect (and there is a good chance its not) and activations,is that good or do i need more?? any help would be appreciated!!! cheers matt |

Your generic ord majoris seems incomplete it should have two weapons not one. |

Seems a very low activation count for a 4000 point game, especially against necrons. |

Ill try and get pictures if I remember!! Ideally I would have preffered more skitarii or some praetorians but atm I just want to use models that are painted so it gives me motivation to get the rest of the army painted. Cheers Matt |

Support Missiles already have Indirect Fire, which is the only thing Landing pad does? Plus why do you have its role so split? so it has to have 2 barrage missiles??? i didnt read that it was indirect,i'll probabbly swap it for a vulcan mega bolter or something. i dont like having my titan in one specific role,say for example it takes 2 turns to get into combat,thats 2 turns of an expensive unit not making its points back,my main purpose for it is combat,but i also want it to kill stuff on the way there. cheers matt |

Maybe this: Warlord Titan 950 Pts -Quake Cannon -Close Combat Weapon -Laser Burner -Corvus Assault Pod (Skitarii Demi-Century) -Veteran Princeps -Sacred Icon -Carapace Multi-Lasers |

As a general rules I think the answer is no. Some Armylist mention it specifically and other I think just assume it? I would like to get an official answer about that *Pokes ERC* So that's why i dropped two formations of Fire Support, plus you didn't have a SC yet. Forge Knights were good I guess but I just ran out of points. |

thats a very nice list,my next addition is a cataphract company,and im currently winning some sentinels on ebay,the only thing i would change (and this is probably only me),but i would want some more infantry,wether its praetorians or just normal skitarii,it doesnt really matter. just found out that the game has been cancelled for tonight anyway,slightly p***** off,but cant be helped i guess. cheers matt |

Righteo,the game has been rescheduled for tonight and this is the list that im planning on using...... Skitarii demi-century tech lord infantry support-500 skitarii demi century fire support-400 skitarii demi century fire support-400 ordinatus majoris-armageddon-550 praetorians & gorgon-325 praetorians & gorgon-325 Artillery-manticores-450 warlord titan laser burner ccw laser blaster gatling blaster 825 sentinels-100 sentinels-100 unless my math is wrong that should be 3975 Since this is the 1st time ive used this army,ive wanted to go quite infantry heavy. At only 10 activations at 4000 points you're probably a bit activation-light still. I'd not go lower than 12 activations at 4000 points, personally. |
