I've always wanted to use that heading, it doesn't fit but so what.

Now I confess to being out of it for two months and haven't studyed the new list or read what others have said. Hence this thread. It seems I get a game with E&C tomorrow so if I get good suggestions list wise by 4pm London time Tuesday I face him with titans. Otherwise its siege or guard.

Currently I'm thinking something along the following lines (as I can't face playing plasma titans again just yet)

Warlord heaven
0850 Warlord
1500 2 x Warlords
0500 5 x sentinels
0150 Thunderbolts
Bit of a laugh, but the sentinels would hide lots for objective securing, the Warlords would attack the enemy objectives with one in reserve. Thunderbolts as I like them.

Or WE heavy so AP fire means nothing to us
0750 Warlord or Reaver Indirect Barrage
0600 Reaver
0825 3 warhounds (2 VMB hounds, 1 Plasma hound)
0300 2 squadrons of Thunderbolts
0525 3 Ordi minoris

or the Warlord firebase

0950 Warlord Indirect Barrage, CML
0600 Reaver
0825 3 warhounds (2 VMB hounds, 1 Plasma hound)
0100 Sentinels
0525 3 Ordi minoris

(Whats happened to the rocket launcher and turbo laser? In fact this and other complaints I shall batter Ben with tomorrow!)

rocket launcher and turbo laser?

Rocket Launcher has been renamed the 'Apocalypse Missile Launcher' because they renamed it in 40k recently.

Turbolaser can be found in the scout titan weapons section, and can be used by battle titans too (I didn't like there being two types of turbolaser in the last list (light and battle) so I changed it to one type (Which is what's happened in 40k recently in any case)... this was partially due to yourself reckoning that the scout turbolaser was really good, IIRC). The name got changed again due to 40k.

Sooner rather than later, I'll also be renaming the 'Quake Cannon' to become the 'Ragnarok Quake Cannon', because GW decided on a new name for it.

PS: Will Hayes wants to make some more Epic scale titans. :)

Hi Chris,

Following my last report and the gratefully received comments, I have been looking at testing the following list.

1-Warlord 3x Gatling Blasters & LasBurner, Legate - 800
2-Reaver 2x LasBurner & Volcano Cannon, Carapace Multi Lasers - 700
3-Reaver LasBurner, Melta Cannon & Plasma Destructor, Carapace Multi Lasers - 775
4-Skitarii Quattro-Century - 125
5-Ordinatus Minorus + Volcano Cannon - 225
6-Ordinatus Minorus + Volcano Cannon - 225
7-Thunderbolts - 150

I would watch playing Ordinatus Minorus with free weapons as they tend to lack adequate range, although the gatling version is quite nice have a look here to see how I got on with an earlier version of the list but with lots of Ordinatus Minorus.

I am also hoping to get back the Scout Rocket Launcher for my Warhounds.

It's worth noting that GW/FW *will not* be producing a missile launcher for the Warhound. Ever. Even if they make a Titanicus Game (Which they might!).

0750 Warlord - Gatling
0600 Reaver - Gatling
0825 3 warhounds (2 VMB hounds, 1 Plasma hound)
0300 2 squadrons of Thunderbolts
0525 3 Ordi minoris - Gatling

I went with this in the end. Didn't get the result I wanted as 2 stands of infantry and a damaged stormserpent survived the end of the 4th turn :( I was so close to wiping him out!

Woah. :D

I assume your opponent was Ginger, as I couldn't make it in the end?

Oh my,

I really must be playing this army incorrectly, as everyone else are getting easy wins.

Can you remember what you were facing?

The answer to all questions is not 'MORE PLASMA!' :D

So by the look of things to have a competetive army you need to go with number of shots (possible 68 shots from Chris' list) and overwhelm your opponent with shooting.

It is possibly you're not taking Ginger's famous dice into account. :D

Of course playing against Ginger

2 stands of infantry and a damaged stormserpent survived the end of the 4th turn :(

Not a crushing victory then. ?:D

Last time I played Ginger, I won 5-0 on turn 3.

The only unit left on the board at that point was a broken Revenant Titan with 1DC remaining... and I had another four activations left before the end of the turn...

Honestly I reckon he's cursed. :D

Has Ginger tried using new dice?

It worked for me.  I swap from a sickly yellow and black to pink and black marble, with white dots, now my dice rarely fail me.

Actually Biggles luck approached average this game. I'll do a bat rep and have pictures on my brothers camera phone. In essence it was to try and confirm what i thought about the list. It was a points and formations min maxer with no AP targets (in summary).
