the W40k config looks cooler.

Not sure that's true when the arm weapons are all from the Adeptus-Titanicus-era Warlord titan model. I think of those then the Volcano Cannon is probably cooler-looking than the Laser Blaster.

(Aesthetically, I rather like FW's Melta-cannon & power-fist combo, which is why it's lead contender to be Reaver number 4.)

That too

Edit: How do you gentlemen go about naming your Titans?

Do you just throw random cool names in a Latin generator or you try to go with something similar to your Legion name?

Whatever that I can think of, which is usually characters from stories, videogames or song titles, appropriately Greekened or Latinized.

When really hopeless, use names for obscure gods.

(my Imperator, Phobetor, combines both methods for maximum effect, being inspired by "All Nightmare Long" by Metallica).

There are a few 'canon' Titan names listed here, sourced from various locations such as Adeptus Titanicus background, Horus Heresy novels, and the like. Might help with some inspiration...

I don't. My Titan legion is named, The Morning Stars, and I pretty much refuse to call legions by their Latin-ish names. If I were to name my Titans, I would name them in English, not some fancy, shmancy pseudo-Latin. The only things I've named are two of my Squat Land Trains, Mordin's Hammer and Orkbane.

I took my Titans' names from GW books.

Depends a bit. I decided to name my Emperor class titans after roman Emperors. Loyalist titans would be names after what has traditionally been percieved as "good" emperors and Chaos titans after the "evil" ones.

Other than that I've usually just looked up in a latin dictionary for various suitably war-themed words that also sounded sort of cool and then GW-ified them.

Thanks.

I already named a Reaver after a Queen song, and the Titan Legion is Legio Ruina.

Which one? "Tie Your Mother Down"?

No, I forget which song now too :(

But I might use that one, it is a Traitor Titan Legion

Edit: Legio Ruina, added changes now

Reaver: Apocalypse Missile Launcher, Blaster Cannon, Laser Blaster: 675 pts

Reaver: Apocalypse Missile Launcher, Close Combat Weapon, Laser Blaster: 675 pts

Reaver: Volcano Cannon, Gatling Blaster, Laser Blaster: 700 pts

Warhound Pack: Warhound Turbolaser Destructor, Plasma Blastgun, Warhound Turbolaser Destructor, Vulcan Megabolter: 550 pts.

Thunder Bolt squadron (2 Thunderbolts): 150 pts

2615 I would have to cut out one of the upgrades for a cheaper weapon to take the Forge Knights, but I can still add a lone Warhound and some minor upgrades I guess.

2615

That should be 2,750. I suspect you've entered the Thunderbolts into the calculator as 15 rather than 150 by mistake.

Also, what's a Blaster Cannon (as on the first Reaver)? I see you've priced it at 25 points; did you mean a Gatling Blaster?

2750, oops :p.

Okay, so what should I swap out if I want to take a third Warhound.  Other wise I might as well seperate the pack into two seperate Warhounds.

You could swap one of the warhounds' Turbolaser's down to a megabolter to free up 25 points.

It would have to be the one without the megabolter then.  Other oddity is I still have to find another 25 pts to scrounge out.  If I were simply adding stronger guns one less Titans I probably would be better off with a Warlord/Reaver then right?

You could downgrade one of the Laser Blasters for a TLD.

Warhound: Turbolaser Destructor, Plasma Blastgun: 300 pts

I didn't know what to slap on the third Warhound, now I'm flat 3000.
