for any other faction I'd pretty much agree. Bizarre, wonky, and odd is much of the expectation I figure people have when they come to AdMech. Logically what you say is correct but this is more about perception than logic. Trite example: 3rd edition was streamlined, elegant, and logical and the player base completely rejected it. Sometimes intangibles win out :)

The other side of this is that we have a few new weapons archtypes that AdMech uses thanks to FW. Instead of throwing half of them on one unit, I think we would be better served in the long run to spread the various weapons around to AdMech troops. I also know how I play and having three weapons on a unit means more flipping back to the reference sheet as we play which slows things down and doesn't really add any flavor game wise.

I do want to hit some of the other weapons too here. We should change weapons to things that are more exotic stuff FW has come up with when it fits. The next part is the Mauler Bolt Cannon. This has pinning which I could see as translating into disrupt. I don't think it needs to change in stats from the Heavy Bolter though.

My thoughts are that 30cm with the whole detachment having disrupt seems a bit much, bit it might be kind of funky to go with an optional stat for close range to encourage demi-centuries to close a bit more. Hence:

Hypaspist, Mauler Bolt Cannon, 30cm AP5+ OR 15cm AP5+ disrupt


As far as Sagitarii, my question is whether we should leave the stats unchanged ffor them but change the name of the weapon to Phased Plasma Fusil or if we should see about giving them a boost to 4+ to represent the salvo nature of the weapon. (or something else entirely)
