do we have any responsiblity to re-imagine the Knights?"

Certainly.

I have to agree here.  Our impact is less than when Epic was able to inject things like the SM LC.  However, we do have an impact on the fan base and GW does take fan base perceptions into account.  They rewrite stuff if they think it is needed to make a good game and sell minis, but I think they usually try to stick with player  perception and preference for the most important reason of all - it sells.

If we create a coherent picture of knights that's both in keeping with the traditional GW presentation and fits with the direction the 40K-verse has taken since then, I think there is a realistic chance that it will spread through the fan base.

Just as an example of something like that happening, the Titan Legion summary doc I made up 4 or 5 years ago has been propagated across the net like crazy, to the point that when I've tried to do follow up research recently, it makes up a large  portion of the hits I get when trying to Google TL info.  I don't haunt the 40K boards, but it does seem to be taken as definitive by many people and even if I'm misinterpreting due to an exaggerated sense of self-worth, it is at least contributing to shaping the impressions of the more die-hard 40K players.

There are plenty of 40K groups out there with stats for various things that came from and only officially appeared in Epic, including knights.  Apocalypes definitely focused the game on larger beasties as well.  I think there is a real possibility of something we develop gaining traction.

I voted yes, but my intention is minimal. I think an optional detachment of Paladins should be available to the main AMTL list, with the assumption that there will be a more comprehensive Knight list for those of us with access to Knights-a-plenty.

And if you know me, then you can have Knights-a-plenty, too.

Neat!  Well, let your imaginations soar, I guess!

I vote yes and I want all the types of knights available in the list!

A 10% Margin certainly doesn't give me that kind of mandate; That's what the Knightworld army list is for... if you're interested in helping balance those, there's a knightworld list on the go...

Knights will be incorporated into the AMTL list too, but probably only as 'generic' knights, rather than knights 'paladin', 'lancer', 'warden', etc.

The vote is conclusive; Thread Closed.
