i recently bought an Imperator and plan on getting the Forgeworld warhounds. If someone could help write a 3000 point list using these models, i'll buy, paint and play the hell out of them for testing purposes. :sos

It's really hard to make an interesting list at 3K that includes an Imperator; You will be severely out-activated from the start, and a smart opponent will be able to avoid most of the Imperators awesome lethality. That being said, the following list is, I think, playable, especially if your opponent relies heavily on armour (AVs or WEs).

Incompertus, 3000 POINTS
Legio Gryphonicus (NetEA v3.18 *UNDER DEVELOPMENT*)
==================================================

EMPEROR TITAN [1300]
Imperator Configuration, Legate

WARHOUND TITAN [300]
Vulcan Megabolter, Turbolaser Destructor

WARHOUND TITAN [300]
Vulcan Megabolter, Turbolaser Destructor

THUNDERBOLT FIGHTERS [150]
2 Thunderbolts

MARAUDER BOMBERS [250]
2 Mauraders

REAVER TITAN [700]
Apocalypse Rocket Launcher, Veteran Princeps, Close Combat Weapon, Laser Blaster

It gets even less interesting if he's limiting it to just imperator and warhounds.

Thanks for the list :)

Im not limited to that, its just easier to get new purchases past my wife if i also use what i already have.

I must say, i also like the list at the end of this thread viewtopic.php?f=22&t=22249

The only person i would be playing would be using this list viewtopic.php?f=95&t=24870

Having said all that, im also building a 4k heresy Raven Guard list, so i would be happy to take my titans to 4k. Its just that Australian tournaments are usually 3k, which is why i chose that amount.

Vaaish - How close is AMTL 3.2 ready for tournament status? It was mentioned to me recently at Adepticon that it's getting pretty close to this year? That would be wonderful if it's true.

If more play testing is required, I've got some battle reports that I can contribute down the road. Really REALLY wanting to get my titans out of mothball. ;D

Well there haven't been any significant changes to the list for the last three years iirc. I'd like to see it approved, or reapproved, this year but we need to have I believe six games and reports from three separate groups.

I believe the biggest concerns are the emperor Titan balance, pervasiveness of arty titans, and a propensity to play to a draw and win on points.

So how many more reports do you need? I've got a group in the STL region ready to commit to some AMTL goodness

I have two battle reports with it up on my blog (quite a while back), using an artillery titan, if that helps

We need quite a few more. I believe we have around two or three right now fro a few different groups. I should probably create a thread dedicated to tracking them. The games all have to be against netEA approved lists so things like codex marines, steel legion, eldar, orks.

They need to be full battle reports too and put together in a way that I can submit them to the ERC for final approval.

Well I've just bought an imperator, so should be able to get some games in against reedars orks (and if needed vanheim, codex marines, black legion, emps children, freaks, ulani, iyanden and possibly tau and necrons) if that would be any help. I'll try to make notes for a full battle report.

I use some that Kevin sculpted ages ago but there are good alternatives here:

I did some games with AMTL in the last few months. The last game we did was really unbalanced I think. My first Impression a few months ago was the Emperor is too overpowered to make a fun and balanced game possible. There is simply nothing in normal 3k or even 4k lists, which could beat that monster. Sure, your opponent could just ignore the giant for taking more objectives, but as soon as I put the Emperor in the middle of my deployment zone, there is pretty much everything within striking range. I would suggest limiting the Emperor to 5 or 6k+ lists.

Getting back to the first mentioned latest game me and my comrades fought out: Orks versus Titan Legion. My list contained at least two Warlords, two Warhound Packs and a Reaver:

Incompertus, 4000 POINTS
Legio Gryphonicus (latest version)
==================================================

WARLORD TITAN [1075]
Veteran Princeps, Sacred Icon, 2 Plasma Destructor, Melta Cannon, Close Combat Weapon, Carapace Multi-Lasers

WARLORD TITAN [1050]
Carapace Landing Pad, 3 Quake Cannon, Legate, Carapace Multi-Lasers

REAVER TITAN [875]
3 Quake Cannon, Single Weapon System Surcharge, Carapace Multi-Lasers

WARHOUND TITAN PACK [500]
4 Inferno Gun

WARHOUND TITAN PACK [500]
4 Inferno Gun

In the end I simply evaporated one formation per turn. When any relaxed atmosphere was left, I decided to let my opponents win by capturing objectives. They won 3:0 with at least just 800 points left on the table, whilst I still had 2500 points left. My advice would be limiting the Emperor as well as the Quake Cannons, as MW Barrage Templates with 90cm range and indirect fiore are too overpowered in my opinion.
