In this case I think consistency between the special rules is more important than adherence to the fluff. Maybe Dave will clarify?

Yeah maybe. It plays quicker too. But then again it's hardly the only thing I've changed between the lists, and I've got to say I think the shields "feel" better when they don't work in CC. And it would have an added benefit of making the list slightly cheaper.

The fluff and rules allowed for the shield to work on CC hits in SM/TL, no idea what 40k is doing/saying now but that's not what the Knight World was based off of.

In SM/TL it was meant to be analogous to an medieval knight's knight. Something that's moved and positioned around their body to stop attacks. You can't protect yourself from all directions with that though, hence not getting it for crossfire or support.

Greetings noble Knights,

Did anyone ever tried to add the small knights to the Knight List?
Is there something experimental to start with?

What "small" knights? I don't think I've ever heard of them.

This is an Armiger. There are 3 other scout knight types also.

Some of us just use the Scout Knights as the Siegfried scout tanks in the knight list. They're in the Epic UK Knight list but the Net-EA list doesn't have anything similar.

Yes, I mean exactly them.
Perhaps I should have a look at Epic UK, but changing rulesets now might shatter the last people I've got in this local playing group.

Edit:
Is there a rules difference anyway? I mean between EpicUK and NetEpic? Looks the same on the first look.
So it would be okay using their list or generally speaking incorporate theirs into the NetEA ones?

Maybe keep using the existing list but for friendly games also allow 6 x Siegfried list tanks (stats as per the Siegemasters list) for 175.

It underpowers them some compared to their stats in 40k but is an okayish option to use the models and it should be balanced fine.

Both are playing using the same Epic Armaeddon rules. There are quite a few differences between the two army lists though - Net-EA has base size 3 knights for a Palladin formation while Epic UK is 6. Epic UK list doesn't have Rough Riders or Knight Wardens. Knight shields work differently between the lists and most knights have different stats.

Both sets of lists should be decently balanced but might cause confusion swapping from one to the other if they're familiar with this list.

If it helps you understand the differences in general Epic UK lists put a greater focus on balance for tournaments and reduce the numbers of available options, units and special rules than Net-EA lists a bit. Net-EA lists are developed and playtested online and anyone can join in, Epic UK test privately in closed testing with veterans and then release updates ocassionally. Epic UK have sometimes taken an existing Net-EA list and made they're own version based on it with sometime minor changes, sometime losds of sometimes a whole new list.

Oh, from AT18. I forgot about those.
